Is there a way to spot a drop shipper? I am confused by some info in listings.

Hello Everyone,

I recently did a search for solar fans, and am noticing a weird pattern with the listings.

Many show the same price

Ship from the same city /state, in the US

All have different account names

(about 10 listings)

The weird part I am seeing is when I go to check out their feedback it says member in China/ and a date.

Are these drop shipping?

I want to order a fan, but not if it is drop shipped.

Those sellers are not necessarily drop shipping; they are just in China and have a warehouse and/or workers in a warehouse here in the states.

Best to first look at their feedback, how big is the number and is it 100%?

You can also just keep looking until you find a seller that does not show they are from 'China'.

Sometimes you can run the exact title search thru Google and find they have lifted the listing from another site such as Amazon.  Also, check the sellers feedback, some buyers will mention the drop-shipping.

Check the negative and neutral feedback.

Used to be you could just search for listings from the USA or North America.  Then eBay opened warehouses for their Chinese compatriots so they would have US addresses and could confuzzle the Search by having the inventory (so they claim) in the US while they are based in China or elsewhere.  The real kicker comes when you find out your "US located inventory" is shipping from China....  I don't believe eBay has a place to report that, even tho it is a violation of Seller Terms Of Service.
