Is there a way to have an email, tailored for a specific product, automatically sent to buyer?

I want to build in an automatic email after a buyer purchases items from my shop, tailoring the email based on the specific item they buy. Is this possible? If so, can you please advise me?

Thank you!

HI! This does not answer your question. I place thank you notes in my packages. When I buy items I have received e-mails, phone #'s, other selling places they use. Maybe you could do that write something to them with your thank you note.

I don't know of a way to do this ('specific') automatically, but I can't conceive a reason to do it at all... eBay sends one.

a email for the item like "Hello, and thank you for buying xx.  You will find it  is new and clean and on and on...."

I don't know that anything like that exists on this site or any other site.

Such unsolicited email is considered spam by eBay and is against email policy.

Read this:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/spam-policy?id=5033

Even if it weren't a policy violation, it's a bad idea.  People don't want email from all the sellers they buy from.  It would be an irritant.

If people like what they bought from you, and the service you provided, they will continue to buy from you, and probably even recommend you to others.   They have your eBay ID.  They know know to find you.

This isn't anywhere near the answer to your question, but did you know that you've signed up for a store prematurely?

As a new seller, you won't be allowed to list very many items at the beginning of your eBay selling career, so, rather than paying for perks you can't use, you could have just started selling.

PS:  If this would be like a thank you note, couldn't you just enclose it in the package.

Or offer your thanks in the FB you leave for your buyer?

You are not allowed to spam buyers.

But you can do this and the buyers will have a

choice as to if they want them or not.

Please read what eBay has to say about items that are emailed to a buyer.
Short version, they aren’t allowed. Sellers are required to ship the physical item.

Re: Is there a way to have an email, tailored for a specific product, automatically sent to buyer?

You have some 500 keystrokes in your Feedback.

If the buyer has paid, write up a standard message in a text document, save it , then cut and paste into the feedback you leave on shipment.

Mine is "Thank you for your prompt payment. Shipped 10/3/22 Canada Post Air Mail."  Mostly, besides politeness,  I use it to remind customers that their purchase is coming from away .

If you enclose a paper thank you note, you can also include a short list of other items they might be interested in.

Woops! Totally missed the fact that there would be no package mailed.

Oh, gosh.  I didn't look at OP's listing.  I see that it's listed under Computers/Tablets & Networking > Software > Office & Business

Big violation.  Big trouble ahead for OP.

You are already violating the Digital Items policy.......

Spamming buyers (if you actually get any) is not going to be "helpful" for your account.

In answer to your question, yes it's possible, you would need a third-party tool (or be a good programmer) to accomplish it and it won't be cheap. Keep in mind you will only be able to email buyers through eBay's systems and those are monitored for policy violations.

Have you read the digital item policy and been approved to sell digital items?

Have a great day.
