I seem to recall something about not being able to leave negative feedback for a TRS+ member until after some number of days have passed. (I thought it was 7 days?) Any info on that?
Specifically, I mailed an item that was deliver Aug 1. Today Aug 6 the buyer leaves a NEG that simply says "thanks". Being curious I went to their feedback page and I find that the last 3 feedbacks they left either said "thanks" or "wow thanks" AND WERE ALL NEGATIVE. But "thanks" doesn't sound negative.
I am guessing (hoping?) it is just an "autocopy" and I plan to appeal. But the number of days is also an issue. If it is 7 days then how could they leave it after 5?
I sent a note to the buyer asking if there was a problem. Waiting for an answer on that.

Yes, But I am hoping to get an answer to "is there a problem" first which will ideally make the request go smoother. Asking for a revision without a basis for the request seems risky.
Just to close this out I am pleased to report that the buyer did in fact respond to the feedback revision request. The negative is now gone and she greatly improved the quality of her written response.
Hope this gives encouragement to others facing a similar situation.

You can send buyer a feedback revision request.

Only certain sellers get the delay. I think it's Powersellers but I'm not sure. I haven't left a neg for 15 years or more.

PowerSellers have a 7 day waiting period before buyers can leave negative or neutral FB. I can see my PowerSeller level on my account page, but the link to the PS page gives me an error so who knows if it's still an active program.

TRS and Powerseller status are separate credentials, with different but overlapping requirements based on sales volume, seller ratings, etc. TR-Plus is a status that is assigned to listings that meet requirements including free 30-day returns.
Negative and neutral feedback cannot be left for Powersellers within 7 days after the transaction. Top Rated Sellers don't get that protection.

As it happens I have been a power seller for years so, on that basis,. she should not have been able to leave negative in 5 days.
HOWEVER the powerseller badge is no longer there (even though my sales are still in what I always thought was the range - over 120,000 per year) and when I search eBay for help for power seller I get nothing but a very brief squib and no requirements listed. Does that program even exist anymore?
And the link coffeebean provided above keeps getting an error message.
In the meantime she answered my note and acknowledged that she left negative by accident so I an hoping she responds to the feedback revision I sent.

The item that you got the "Thanks" neg for was sold on Tuesday July 30, so Tuesday August 6 was day 7 and she could leave a neg any time after 13:50 Pacific time.

I think you might be looking at the wrong buyer. It appears from the buyer IDs sold to on this listing that you sold it on July 24th.
If you do decide you want to try and get your buyer to revise the FB. Make sure you open some communications between you BEFORE sending a Revision Form to them. This is important as they have a self life and you can only send one per transaction. So if you send it without the buyer knowing it is coming, it could easily get overlooked or ignored. If they agree to revise it let them know they will be getting an email from Ebay which will contain an easy link for them to complete the revision task.

Yes, I contacted them before sending the revision request and they responded and said that, yes, they made a mistake and did not intend to hit Negative. I then let her know the revision was on the way and asked her to respond to it. We'll see
For what it is worth I had a similar case once before where the buyer left several identical (positive) negative feedbacks for a series of sellers. I contacted CR and they agreed to remove the negative accepting the argument that it was an unintentional "auto-repeat" and, especially, based on the buyers admission that it was a mistake.

Maybe, except with you go to leave a negative or neutral FB, there is one more step before posting. It asks you are you sure you intended to leave a neg or neutral and you have to hit the confirm button.

True - in a perfect world. Assuming you are not being distracted by a screaming baby, or fighting siblings, or an irate husband demanding his dinner. HURRY UP - JUST GET IT DONE!!!!
I have never made a claim of infallibility (I leave that for the Pope) and I will admit that sometimes in a hurry I have a wrong button or 2. And you? So just maybe.

Dang, I said nothing about a perfect world. I stated a fact. There is an extra step to posting a neg or neutral. I have no clue, nor do you if screaming kids etc etc played any part in what your buyer did. I made NO JUDGEMENT, I merely stated how the system works. You read far more into my post that was said or intended.

I meant no disrespect. I am aware of the literally thousands of posts you have made on these boards.
I am aware of the extra step. I was simply offering a possibility for the oversight.
Sorry if it sounded rude. It wasn't meant to be. Just an alternative universe.

Mine doesn't do that.
On mine there is simply a blurb that could easily be missed but it would let me rate a negative & click , nothing made me confirm .
I backed out once my mouse was at the Leave feedback button but it was loaded & ready to submit .
At what point do you have to hit the confirm?
