Hi
I sold an item (collection only), the buyer wasn't paying so I opened a case. They eventually paid just before the deadline. Then they were not collecting and not communicating properly, I got fed up and cancelled transaction (within 30 days as expected). Everywhere I look it states that if buyer paid by PayPal their refund would be issued automatically, however, I just received an email from eBay asking me to issue a refund.
Am I wrong to think that it should be issued automatically since I cancelled transaction and buyer paid by PayPal?
If I am indeed required to issue refund manually, how do I do that? There's no link anywhere on the cancelled item page, just a comment in red that says "Please refund the buyer. We'll ask the buyer to let us know when they receive the refund"
Please can someone help as apparently I only have 9 days.

You are in the UK.........I suggest you ask on their boards......This is the US boards and the rules may be different there......
By this: Then they were not collecting and not communicating properly, I'm only guessing you mean it was to be a local pick up rather than mailed..........and there could be different rules.

As mentioned by the previous poster, since you are a UK member, you will want to post your concerns on the UK discussion boards to make sure of procedures for ebay.co.uk.
