I sent a package out April 24th First Class. It is worth a lot of money. Has the USPS lost it? Here is the tracking, Only going from Rhode Island to Michigan -

Thank you and I went to get alerts. I didn't get insurance, how much is it? The item is $300, I will have to look into registered mail, usually have only done first class and priority. And good news, it did update earlier and it's arrived in Detroit.

Yes, I should have, it was a small item so went 1st class, wasn't really thinking because I haven't had many problems shipping items. But, yes anything valuable I will ship priority in the future.

Thanks for the reply. Good idea about not to keep checking the tracking, it does stress you out. Also earlier the package did make it to Detroit's Distribution Center.

Things are very slow right now...and items are going in weird routes also. I had a package from CA go to Florida before getting to me in Oregon. Took the loooong way home.

eBay doesn't require insurance on anything.

You may be confusing insurance with Signature Confirmation. eBay and PayPal require signature tracking on any payment over $750, if the seller wants to be covered by seller protection in case of Item Not Received claims.

Yea, tracking has been very slow. Bought a fuel pump out of Florida. Disappointed to see that it hadn't been accepted by the carrier USPS three days later. It showed acceptance the same time it showed up here. It showed delivery two days after my truck was up and running.

I think it is still very possible your item will successfully be delievered. I would recommend to USPS Package Intercept or signing up for txt notifications.

Talk about slow and going in a weird route, I shipped a first class package from NJ to CONN. Package went to Texas, came back to NJ, then went to CONN. Took 16 days to be delivered.
