I tried to appeal it when it happened but I think I did it wrong, the reason why they left a negative review was cause they never paid and I cancelled their order. I mean people still buy from me but I’d prefer 100% feed back

Be sure to handle all nonpayers through the proper channels. When you do it right, they can’t leave any feedback at all.
As for the 6 month old feedback, nothing can be done. eBay allows only 30 days to work with feedback left for our trading partners.

yes, too late and besides, the feedback they left would not be considered a removable comment
your follow up comment is good, i doubt anyone would use this neg against you, i know i wouldn't
fyi- the negative will not be counted against your percentage after one year has passed, but it will always be visible no matter how many years have passed
the more you sell and receive positive feedbacks from those sales, the more your percentage will increase

why would you cancel his order when he didnt pay? All you had to do was file an unpaid item dispute, and any negative fb he left you would have been removable..and you would have gotten your fees credited back too.
