Hopefully in the right place.
I have decided I wanted to revise one of my listings to further extend the period of my Auction. I slammed in 5 days, but now I have decided to I want to run it for 7 days instead. There are no bids, and I listed out the Auction less then 24 hours ago.
My Question: Is it possible to change the duration from 5 to 7 days instead, and not having to close down the entire listing only to do that minor tiny change? Then having to relist it.

No, that is not possible. The duration of an auction can be extended only within the first 2 hours after the auction starts.

Ok, so the only solution is to if I´m to change the duration is Close down the entire Listing, change Duration, and then having to relist the item. Kinda sucks, but ok. I need to think this over. Thx for answer though.

I'd let it ride as-is. The most important part, IMHO, is that it runs through the weekend. In terms of an ending day, I don't see much difference in results between Tuesday and Thursday (or Wednesday, for that matter).

You can shorten the length of an auction but not lengthen one. Overthinking the end date of auctions was my specialty nine years ago. Now I just try to end them on days I know I will be in town to provide the fastest shipping in the west.
Closing an auction is fine if there are no bids.

No, I better just let it go. I have too many Watchers already as it is. Would just be weird to put down the listing now, with so many watchers on it.

It may be a "minor change" to you, but perhaps not to the people who bid with the expectation that it would end two days earlier.

Im not so sure about that! On the last 3 auctions I bid on in the last 10 seconds Ebay extended the time by at least 15 more seconds, allowing others to continue bidding! Im wondering if this is a new ploy for Ebay to bring in more revenue?

I have never seen eBay extend an auction so I think you must have misread the time. I'd love to look at that bid history; could you provide a link or the listing number please?

No, they did not extend the listings 🙂
They ended when scheduled 🙂
Many count down clocks do not display correctly. Some off by "minutes" 🙂
Listings seldom end exactly on the minute. The go as much as 59 seconds past the minute 🙂

Ive been using ebay for years and this has NEVER happed before, not ever, until just lately, something has changed!

yeah, the countdowns are **bleep**tier these days and are not synchronized anymore.

Many bidders will wait until the end to bid so, I would not make any changes.
