I just can not believe this. Yet another unhappy buyer has asked for a refund/return months after a good sale has closed. He claims the radio doesn't work. It sure did when I sent it to him months ago! This is not the first one either. Others have tried the same buyer's remorse scam. I pay shipping both ways and maybe the crook sends it back... or they file with eBay to take back the money from my PayPal account and keep the item. For me the seller it's a lose-lose. Is this why most electronics sellers are adding "broken not working" to their listings? That seems crooked too.
What do you reccomend folks?

It's a $600 radio.
I understand eBay wants to make a profit and that's all, but jeezz a little justice would be great.
eBay certainly made their profit here and they won’t entertain a complaint from the buyer. It’s been a whopping 172 days since he bought the radio. He can’t trash your feedback and he can’t open a return request from eBay. Just IGNORE HIM. Hopefully this stalls him another 7 days until a PP dispute is off the table. Good luck!

It would depend on the date the item sold as to what action I would take...

@lostangelesguy - What was the date of the sale? And, what date did the buyer receive the item?

They're just laying the groundwork for a paypal chargeback. I'd just delete the message and leave the ball in their court because any answer you give will not be to their liking and they will use that excuse to justify their actions when they go to the big checkout in the sky....

Shipped 2 days after close of auction. Delivered less than a week later. No contact until today.
They have 8 more days to file with PayPal. Just ignore them & put them on your BBL.

Really depends on what you mean by "months"
More than six months, they can't file a claim
less than 6 months, may file with paypal
less than a month, may file with ebay
I would recommend the following:
If item is worth it broke, pay for return label
if item is not worth it, refund
But if it were me, I'd refund and move on with my life.

Does the paypal 180-day clock start on delivery or on purchase?
I agree with others; ignore for now. There is nothing the buyer can do to you through ebay.
Do you still have any records of tracking/delivery? Just in case.
My advice does depend on how much your time is worth based on the price of the item. I hate to see those scammers* win, but I'm not going to fight longer than a few minutes to recoup $10. iykwim
*The radio may have truly quit working but, and I really don't know this, what major retailer takes those types of returns 6 months later?

The buyer has 8 days to file on Paypal. They may not be aware of it. Wait it out and block the buyer.

Months ago?
Sadly that's eBay for yer, very generous... with other peoples goods and money. Then you have the worry of what (if not an empty box) is returned, and let's not forget what condition will the return be in, as in intact or missing parts, then, last but not least? as a bonus, you also get to take hits on feedback I see.
Ah yes...the feedback system eh. To think some Company probably got a bonus for dreaming up that little gem of an idea..."sellers can only give buyers positive feedback".
On the plus side?
The Cobra 2000 GTL CB radio looks like an interesting piece of equipment, but J H C I wouldn't want to mail it out, it looks way to fragile, and as a seller? the ice is thin enough as it is methinks.
All the best

@lostangelesguy No don’t do this. Don’t send a label. The purchase happened 172 days ago for gosh sake! PayPal’s 180 days started on the date of purchase which was 172 days ago. And for all anyone knows, the buyer didn’t even use his PayPal account. Just ignore him.
