Invited to participate a eBay sales event. Who is paying the coupon code?

Hey, guys,

I'm invited to participate a ebay sales event, in fact we have participate in events like this several time. Normally it will provide a code for a 10% off, and we will cover 5%, ebay covers the other 5%. But we are still receiving full amount for the transaction, and I can't even see which order uses the coupon code. Is that happening to anyone else?

I also saw a few other discussions, says ebay is paying for the coupon codes. I'm not sure if they are also invited by ebay to participate in events or not.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Best wishes to you and the entire country for what you have had to endure with the  fires & now flooding.
I know myself & so many others sincerely hope & pray for an end to all the sad events occurring there.

I know even ebay has posted on the .com site about the charities to help those affected by the devastating fires 
Ellen DeGeneres  has been raising money as well & is at  almost at 2 million dollars . 
Hopefully many more will continue to help
