Invisible Listings

Because I have so few items listed, it's easy for me to catch some things that other sellers might miss because they have so many listings.

I purposely do not log in from my phone so that I can see my listings as a buyer might see them.

When I view my items, there is always a number of items at the top of the page. Currently, it says, "Search all 51 items" (but I have more than that listed).

Starting this morning, my item count is off by two when viewing my listings by account, but not logged in.

Two of my items do not show up in items that I have listed. From my Seller Hub, I have 53 items listed.

I figured out which ones are missing. I don't know why they are invisible. They are NOT two recently listed items. One item was listed on Oct. 24, and the other was listed Aug. 18th.

Has anyone else looked at your listing count while not logged in, and realized that some are not being shown to potential buyers? Please try it and see what you come up with. I'm very curious.

@ltldpr

Are they possibly considered "duplicates"? Duplicates will not be seen in search.

I see 53, but it offers to search  51

No. Completely different items.

Re: Invisible Listings

I'm having the exact same issue - my total items count is 2 short of what it should be.  Considering it's eBay, I'm thankful it's only 2 and that any of my items are still visible.  Started about midday today.  I'm guessing it will be straightened out in under 2 months.

Re: Invisible Listings

At a quick glance 2 of the $18.00 light fixture titles look the same to me. Different pic, but..............

The item numbers above are the missing ones. I do have a couple of identical count/manufacturer pulls listed, but I can scroll through the pictures and see both of those.

It's just weird.

Lol under 2 months might be a little generous. But, stranger things have happened I suppose.

Re: Invisible Listings

Could it be that you have multiple items under one listing?

That has happened to me. I show 150 listings, and the quantity says 153 because I have 3 patterns with a quantity of 2 each.

Also, when I sold 2 lots of 12 Kaiser doll stands (24 in all), eBay counted each 12 as a sale even though it was under 1 order number.

Re: Invisible Listings

No, I don't think so.

It's back to showing all of my listings, but the exact count is off by 2. It says I have 2 fewer than I do, but it shows 2 more than it says that I have.

Very weird glitch.

Re: Invisible Listings

Mine does the EXACT same thing, off by 2. It'll tell me as a buyer that there are 133 listings but I have 135. At first I thought I actually sold 2 items! But then I crashed back to reality and realized it's probably another eBay glitch. Sorry I don't have an answer but wanted to say you're not the only one with this happening...

I thought I had made 2 sales too, and like you, crashed back to reality.

That makes 3 people reporting the same issue.

Luckily, it's not causing a major problem, just getting my hopes up and then smacking me in the face with a big HA HA [insert gif of Nelson Mandela Muntz, the bully from the Simpsons].

Re: Invisible Listings

Unfortunately, it seems no one has an answer for this I'm currently dealing with the same issue, but I have roughly 3,700 listings missing from my store view page. When i first noticed this (yesterday) it was closer to 5,500 missing listings. I've probably spent 3 hours so far ending and relisting listings just trying to get my item count correct. It's made a small deferens increasing it by 1,800 but I've probably ended 8000 of them and the count is still way off. I did use my husband's phone to see if it was just on my end, but it isn't. I did reach out to an eBay representative, and they asked me to farther explain the satiation and as i was typing happily ended to conversation before i sent my first message so I don't think they will be much help.

Re: Invisible Listings

Do you all see the common denominator here?

The phone.

Look at ebay on a computer. I see all 53 of the original poster's listing and all 7291 of kybelflowe-0's listings.

Also, kybelflowe-0, I suggest you time yourself listing and shipping those $1.49 shipped cards, that you are only clearing about 22 cents on after fees, shipping and supplies. See if you can both list 100 per hour and ship 100 per hour, because that is what it takes to make $10 an hour doing that.

Re: Invisible Listings

Here is my count via laptop (off by 3 now but no actual missing items like before):

Something as basic as item count should be correct regardless of how we are accessing eBay.
