Invalid date format ?????

Hi All,

On my seller account, when trying to type my date of birth, the system reports as invalid format....

when I just followed instructions...

Any ideias how to get this sorted?

Try 05/17/1971

Americans put the month first then the date. Even though you are in Portugal, eBay is an American company.

Did you try MM/DD/YYYY? This is the .com site.

You all are absolutely right.

I did put month first and its sorted now.

But I must say the system asks this format "DD/MM/AAA"

Yes but the prompt says DD/MM/YYYY so half of it is right.

They also sell in other currencies, so being an American company means nothing.

This thread is 2 1/2 years old and the OP was never granted permission to sell on eBay it seems, so I doubt they'll be replying. Neither will the others.  

You are located in the UK.  You may be better served by logging out of eBay.com and logging into eBay.com/uk to get the help & advice you need in your discussion community forum.  What applies to one country doesn't necessarily apply in others.  The OP was in Portugal.
