Editor v2 takes a big step forward in providing community users with a modern message editing experience. Read on to learn about all the message editor improvements.
With Editor v2, you can drag and drop images, videos, and file attachments directly to the message editing pane or as attachments to the post.
To reposition, re-size (small, medium, large) and insert a hyperlink for an image, you need only click on the image and choose the appropriate option inline.
Emojis are a powerful medium for expressing one’s thoughts and emotions. An emoji such as “👍” can be used to replace the text - “All the Best!” or “Best of Luck!” or “Well Done!”.
Editor v2 brings you the Unicode standard set of 2500+ emojis divided across 8 categories. Emojis are supported across both Apple and Windows devices.
When you click on a link or use the arrow keys to move the cursor over a link in your post, the inline link pop-up menu displays:
From the inline link pop-up menu, you can click:
We made several improvements to the message editing toolbar to optimize it and make it more consistent:
Toolbars across all discussion styles are now consistent and have the same controls. Moreover, the toolbars include many more options that cater to all messaging scenarios.
We hope you enjoy using these new features!

What fun.
Has there been any progress on the longstanding "authentication failure" problem?

We're working on this issue with high-priority. It's proving tricky. Thanks for your patience!

Hi alan@ebay disable the Take The Survey pop-up, and it's solved. If the page jumps as you're composing a post, it's that pop-up, and the token is trashed.

Or the constant getting logged off issue?

I hate to break the bad news, but a lot of people aren't going to realise what all those little icons mean.
" instead of the quote word/button for example may not be immediate apparent to your posters (especially the erm...'tenured' ones)

Well the red warning messages have changed a bit in the past few days.
If you type a response, click the post button, and then get a authentication error. Before you could click on the back button on your mouse or screen and you would return to the posting you were typing. But now about 35-40% of the time, the post you just typed just disappears, so you have to start all over again.
With that said, the authentication errors aren't happening as often as they were, but in some cases are worse because you lose your posting.

When I get that RED warning message, I COPY my reply, just in case clicking on the option to return to my post doesn't work. That way, I don't have to retype my whole reply in case it disappears.

Yes, thank you. But I was just reporting the issue in case Alan wasn't aware.
I'm trying to get in the habit of doing as you suggested, it is annoying at best and even more so when I forget.
😂

My experience would be greatly enhanced if I didn't have to sign into the boards every time I turned around today. 👀
edit: I tried one of the new emojies and it didn't show up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh, and Alan, I've tried 2 or 3 times using the new emojis but they don't appear on my posts. I did try different ones.
If it appears, this one should be the eye heart face 😍

Looks like a coding issue. Although I don't know what the issue is or how to fix it. Technically the emojii is there.
