I offer free shipping via USPS for my items. If I add international shipping through eBay, should I use 'Calculated: Cost varies by buyer location' as my international shipping policy?

If you are able to opt into eBay’s international shipping program you wouldn’t need to change anything unless you want to charge for shipping to Illinois, you can use calculated or charge a flat rate.
eBay calculates and charges and collects the international shipping costs including custom fees.
You ship to the eBay international shipping hub in Glendale heights when items are delivered there your job is done. eBay handles the international aspect of the transaction including returns and item not received cases.

Suggest you look into the International shipping program..........saves alot of hassle and angst:
with that you only pay for shipping to the US hub.......and you can use either calculated or free...

As the others have mentioned, sign up for the EIS (ebay international shipping). They will calculate the international shipping charge and collect it from the customer, based on location, weight, etc. You can continue to offer free shipping for the domestic portion of the shipping, when it goes to the HUB. Best of all, ebay takes care of any shipping issues once it ships from the HUB. Ebay also collects any VAT due, which is sales tax that some countries charge.
Good luck to you.
