In mid July I sold and item and shipped it the next day. The buyer was a new buyer and I am always hesitant to sell to someone with no ratings but I did send it. Today, September 15th, the item came back as Unclaimed and can't be forwarded. I pulled up the item and checked the tracking number since I had no complaint about the buyer not receiving it. It was shown as delivered to Parcel Locker. I will message the buyer but I have a hunch that I won't hear back. Any suggestions as to what my next move should be? It is a very popular item and I am running low so putting it back on auction is kind of a no brainer but I feel bad about double dipping!

But won't the tracking now show as delivered back to you?
Sorry, not understanding the question. Are you thinking of re-listing/re-selling the item and not refunding the Buyer who never received the originally shipped item?

Absolutely do not contact your buyer.
If they aren't worried about not getting it, then you shouldn't be either.
If you are past 60 days I'd re-list it and put your original buyer on your BBL.
Who knows, they might be dead so let the coroner worry about it.
If your buyer contacts you can refund them if you so choose....minus shipping of course

If it was unclaimed after 2 1/2 months and they didn't contact you I would forget about it. They didn't take the time to claim it because it wasn't worth the bother for them to do so. Thanks for reminding me because I've got a pile of unclaimed merchandise sitting in my corner that I need to relist. I've tried in the past to get in touch with these types of people but have never heard back. Not even once.

How conscientious of you to consider options before relisting. Over the years this kind of thing happens. I generally will be sure there is no feedback and after the return arrives I will refund the buyer 50% less the original postage. Then I have a clear mind to relist.
