Insertion Fee

I was charged an insertion fee. It is my understanding I get 50 free listings. I have less than that. Does it have to be an auction only to avoid fees?  Mine are all listed as buy now.

Re: Insertion Fee

@thesavvyshoppingchick Doesn't have to be an auction.  But I believe some categories aren't free. Also, look at your account summary to see recent actitivy and how many freebies you've used so far this month.

Re: Insertion Fee

The 50 free is unlimited as to format or categories........You can list anywhere......well, not really.......but your stuff should be free.......

the fee charged is 30c?

Re: Insertion Fee

Why is my my invoice showing from 16-15?  That makes no sense. The only item I sold during that period (assuming they meant July 15-16) was only 9.99 and they charged me $11.89 in fees.   See attached

Re: Insertion Fee

eBay deducted $41 from my PayPal account for fees. I cannot contact them, because I don't know how to. I did not sell nearly that much during the period of June 16 through July 17.

Re: Insertion Fee

@thesavvyshoppingchick I can't see your full invoice so I have no idea what the charges are for but I am assuming perhaps insetion fees.  Look at your account activity and it will break down on the charges line by line.  If you still don't understand the charges you can call eBay -- go to ebay.com and on the upper left hand side you will see a link to "help & contact" click that and then go through the prompts it asks for -- you will then be given the phone number and a passcode to call.

Are you new to selling?

No, you didn't sell that much.......what you posted is $11+.......  If you are using ebay shipping labels, those labels would be charged to your paypal account, could that be the other $30?

Look at your invoive again - these are the fees you accumulated from 6/16 thru 7/15 - you sold approximately $90 worth of items plus you have to add the postage you charged to ship. Add those together - Ebay takes 10% of the total cost as their fee.

As far as your Paypal acct - I'm going to assume that you mailed your items and used Ebay / Paypal to print the postage - Ebay didn't charge you $41 - Paypal deducted 30 cents for each transaction and then deducted the postage cost from the balance of your funds.

Re: Insertion Fee

@thesavvyshoppingchick  If you used upgrades like Bold Text, Reserve Price on your Auction, etc, those fees are charged everytime the item is listed or relisted.  Next time you share a picture click the like camera icon and insert the picture.

No, it means what it says: June 16-July 15. Some sellers are on a mid-month billing cycle, others are on a calendar month cycle.

If your auto-payment has been made, you should see a charge of $11.89 in PayPal. Any other eBay-related charges are most likely eBay shipping, and would say "eBay Inc Shipping - Preapproved Payment".
