Am I the only one seeing an influx of PayPal disputes where buyers have left feedback on items they bought weeks ago and are claiming weeks later after delivery, that it was an unauthorized purchase? So far all cases have closed in my favor because it shipped to the buyers address lol.

The system is working as intended. Usually, the culprit is up to 2 months later a person receives the bank statement or credit card statement and doesn't recognize the transaction.

How about post two had absolutely nothing to do with my original post though. Oh wait I forgot, we now live in opposite world. Replying with something that does not answer the initial question does not make the 4th post invalid. I shoulda known u people would find a way to troll this though Lolololol. Oh n where’s @ebay to defend your **bleep**? Cuz I know they’re coming to save your day! Oh n I’m screenshotigm this so when I talk to the supe they can see what I keep saying about eBay bullies

Seriously a quarter of the bullies on this forum and the support u get from eBay admin on here show me exactly why this platform is forever failing and I literally go 5 other places to list things before I do here. N most never make it here. Get it together ebay. I’ve already cut down the amount of listings I bother posting on here. Stop trying to be like every....other.....selling platform and focus on yours

@umie11752

Post 2 answered why it happens.

Purchaser gets their CC statement.

Forgot the transaction, or does not recognize the charge.

They file as unauthorized.

No bullies posting here.

You got a response. Did not understand it, and  were rude to the poster.

Screenshot whatever you want. You did not read, and understand the response that was given to you.

There may be other reasons for an "unauthorized charge" being filed, such as hacked account, but I would be very surprised if the reason given in post 2 is not the most common reason.

Translation:

Buyer gets their CC statement, sees a charge they don't recognize and disputes it.  It may not even be the buyer disputing, it could be a spouse on a shared card that doesn't recognize the charge.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

It's usually a spouse or child lying to the cardholder or sometimes they tell the truth and they are like it's alright honey I'll just stick it to the poor sap seller for your mistake instead of making you pay for it and teaching you some responsibility.
