So I have this Disney/Mickey Mouse Daytona 500 kids jacket that is new with tags. I believe we got it last summer and it has been listed since then without much activity. There was also a matching jacket that was used that did sell a couple months ago. All of the sudden I am getting messages almost every day both on ebay and another site I have it listed on. I have probably gotten 4 messages from different users all from California. The first 2 had zero feedback and were new members. The last 2 have been users with feedback but a lot of it is very old with nothing recent. The questions range from asking for a lower price to details on the sizing (people hoping they would fit in it even though it is youth size).
Anybody ever had something like this happen?

I guess you don't take returns on it...but you will take returns on it whether or it is listed as such in your listing.
If jacket doesn't fit it will be returned...like clothing on approval sort of thing like a department store.
You have 22 watchers on the jacket...so it will sell to someone...that's a rather high watcher rating...but will it sell to the correct buyer...I guess that is what you are asking. Would I reduce the price? Nope. It is youth size and do not change that. I think it's a rather "hot" item for a kid to wear...very cool.
Doing a "no returns" buyer can buy it...ask for a refund.. if you don't do the refund label at your expense it is the oldest trick in the book here...they keep the item.
Really a "cool" jacket for a kid!

@rivertown-pickers When I had something similar happen, I've found that the reason is usually: the item was mentioned somewhere on social media: somebody's FB page, a blog, whatever.

When other sources sell out your listing becomes more desirable.
When items are publicized somewhere, all listings for that item become more desirable.

My first thought was someone wore it on a TV show or something...but this makes more sense.

I just checked and I now have the only one like it so that probably has a lot to do with it.
The fact that the first 2 messages were from zero feedback buyers with 1 day old accounts made me think a scam attempt was coming, but at the same time why would someone ask for a lower price if they are gonna scam me out of the money anyway.

Easy answer. They file an INAD and if you don't send a return label they get to keep the item for free.
