Increasing Photo Size

I am trying to list an item for sale but eBay says my photos need to be at least 500 pixels?  How can I get my photos to at least 500 pixels?

Re: Increasing Photo Size

My OS is Windows 7. The following, in step sequence, will work, but only if you have Windows Paint.

!-Send the small pic to MY DOCUMENTS.

2-Open MY DOCUMENTS and left click PICTURES in the left menu.

3-Open the small pic with a left click

4-Right click the small picture and then left click SEND TO.

5-Select paint, then resize and finally 500.

6-Proceed from that point.

Re: Increasing Photo Size

I use Adobe Photoshop 8.0.  You can go to the top left hand side of the page where it states "image" click on it and it will take you to image size. Adjust to the specific size.  Just giving some options here.  Good luck.

@dbcjdc

Typically, it is a camera setting.  I always make mine LARGER so that I can crop, which I use a photo editing program to accomplish on my computer. Even then I have to "size down" for my purposes.  I use a free photo editor that has lots of features PhotoScapeX.  Taking them "small" and enlarging often results in blurry or distorted images.

Re: Increasing Photo Size

Taking new photos is the best option. 500 pix is way too small for buyers to see what they need to make an informed purchasing decision. Enlarging a tiny image and increasing to 500 pix will cause too much pixelation.

I suggest adjusting your camera/phone settings to a higher photo resolution.

Even though 500 pix is the minimum requirement to upload an image, buyers can't zoom in unless photos are a minimum of 1,000 pix.
