You have 9 things currently listed. So you are still selling on eBay.

OK, thanks for letting us know. And say 'hi' to Zuck.

Lots of rants and departures today, huh?

Well, by the responses I am reading about the fee increases on this and other chat boards it almost seems folks commenting are giddy and happy about them. Finding time out of their busy day to shame posters that are frustrated.
I sure object to them. Despites higher fees I receive less service that I want. Examples of services would be phone customer service from qualified professionals. NOT twitter or facebook.
Seller protection. Discontinuation of Authentication gimmicks that do not benefit my store.
Gimmick promotions verse fair and equal visibility (that's why I have a store). Transparency on the chat boards, posters must disclose selling store. Much more.
Just saying.

Less competition means more pie for the rest of us.

I like pie.

It is what it is.
My favorite fudge brownie mix at Wally went up 24%.
My ISP just raised my monthly fee over 8%.
USPS/UPS/FedEx is charging me more to ship things.
The oil guy just charged me more per gallon than the last time I got the tank filled.
It is what it is.

Americans actually think this, but in reality you will only be undercut by foreigners who does not have draconian tax laws.

Some proof or just more conspiratory nonsense.

I would be much more irate at inflation going up by over 7% than I would be over fees going up here an average of less than one-third of one percent. I am more angry about the price of a gallon of gas going up 33% or more, restaurants and fast food joints raising prices by 10-20%, and empty shelves at Walmart.
Let's keep things in real perspective. If eBay's fees going up an average of less than one-third of one percent is a deal-breaker for you, then perhaps online selling is not for you. There's no reason why your business model cannot absorb such a small rise in fees.
This is not a Boston Tea Party protest kind of situation. The successful sellers here Accept>Adjust> Adapt. We all can do the same - or go bye-bye - our choice.
Cheers, Duffy

Even the $1.00 store isn't anymore.

The problem is eBay is taking their bite of the pie plus grabbing extra scoops of the filling.
Sellers that stay end up with more of the pie, with less of the filling.
Seller's payments go up and those that stick around end up with much more doughy pie.
Let's all be optimistic - the pie still has some fruit filling.
eBay should be taking their bite - but not ruining the pie.
