Sure why not Kick us when were down!!, Just what we all need in these Troublesome Times!!, They don't do an effective enough job as it is, So make us pay even more for POOR service!!, That could very well be the final straw!!

No eBay rules against venting.... At least last time I checked. It's the American way.

Well, the OP is allowed to vent or share his/her frustrations with price increases. Anyone here ever complain about taxes, property taxes, utility bills, or the price of gas? Yeah, I thought so. I use to be able to "vent" to my Boston Terrier. Lately, he just rolls his eyes at me, passes some gas, and walks away. Oh, well......... I get no respect, I tell ya.

I agree, the fees are getting downright ridiculous! And here ebay is constantly whining about losing sellers, but its getting to the point where there's literally no profit left to be had after subsequent fees and exorbitant shipping costs.
I pay 14.55% on the media categories I sell in. Without promoted listings, I would get no traffic and no sales.
To add insult to injury, shipping rates are thru the roof! It costs me $4.50 to $5+ on average to ship a single game now.
Its the whole reason ebay is losing so many sellers, people are tired of working for free.
Its also the whole reason I had my store closed for the entire past 4 months and made no new listings for almost an entire year. If us sellers aren't listing, ebay isnt making money. ebay thinks they are in control, they are not, we are!
I made over $18 an hour flipping hamburgers last year, better time spent than working to pay ebay more fees.
There's jobs everywhere right now, employers are desperate, and its not in ebay's favor to nickel and dime their sellers to the point there's none left.
As for what to do about these fees? Write them off on your taxes, and change your mindset; none of us are tied down to ebay, that is only in one's mind. There are more job/business opportunities today as a result of the health pandemic than likely any time in the past century.

The rising postage costs are also killing profits as well along with the returns and free returns. Prices on items just have to go up and people are already strapped with this inflation.

Well DJ this year is going to be a challenge for many. Yes, everything is going up up up. Unbelievable housing prices, gas, ordinary thing people buy up up and up. Gold prices up up up. So, prices on item HAVE TO GO up. The ebay sells less, so their prices have to go up up up. LOL.

That's exactly my point, we have to start increasing our prices to compensate for all of our expenditures as well & try to maintain profit, Another increase for us of any kind is unwarranted at this time & will mot help matters at all!

Actually I use them all the time & have for some time now, But I disagree that they take Precedence over all others, That should be the case, But it is not! & that needs to be corrected

Are you talking about me?, I never said i won't use them ever again, & my feedback has been Great

No, my statement regarding promoted listings was directed towards someone else. My 2nd statement was directed towards you.

I used this on some items when they first offered them with a credit to cover the cost, but I could never convince myself the items wouldn't have sold just fine without paying the additional final value fees.

Simply Outrageous! Raking that percentage from the shipping and taxes is outrageous. So we will pay even more for shipping and taxes. It's the way I see it. Yes increasing pricing is the only option but there will be consequences, less sales
