Including a picture of yourself in description - against policy?

The title says it all.  Including a basic picture of yourself in every item description, is this against policy in any way? What are your thoughts on this to inspire buyer confidence?

There's an account which features a buxom young lady dressed in blouses with a plunging neck line holding items for sale in her hands.  It's alluring and tasteful.  I find it clever, hilarious and loved it when I came across it.

@cherry*fizz

I see my pic when I sign in, etc... and buyers can see it by looking at my profile.

Well- you see a picture of someone. You may know it's you, but no one else does.

Would you believe my avatar was my own picture?

@goldguy22k

 I don't wanna see used clothes on a person....I wanna see how it hangs off of a real person.

A mannequin is the compromise between flat on a floor or hanger and on a human being.

It gives the depth without the 'skin cells'.

The buyer knows she's buying secondhand, but really doesn't want to think about it too hard. Just as buying new in a shop, doesn't mean you are going to be the first one to don the garment.

We used to sell fur coats and EVERYBODY wanted to see a model wearing  the coat to see how it looked when worn. Certain items need a human touch like that. Mannequins I think are creepy looking.  Obviously, you would not market yourself wearing something like that with spong curlers in your hair and other unattractive features.

What's wrong with curlers?

Thanks for the comments.  I hear ya.

I don't get the "eeeeW" factor as I'd wash anything used or off the rack before wearing it.  But then again if this is overall buyer perception, then it is something to take note of.

I have hanging torso maniquins but I find the girl one WAY too small so I usually just put the clothes (mostly plus size) on the male.
