Improved page view!

I see this new page view on both of my member id's.  (Top 1/3 of page below.)

Hope this is a change for all because it is such an improvement. Less clutter, focus stays on listing I clicked the page for, and bigger thumbnails. No more squinting!!

Re: Improved page view!

is the magnification there when you hover over?

@mycheaperstuff

Only thing I don't like is the small "view other items"..........

Re: Improved page view!

I've seen this reported a day or two ago.

It seems to be being tested.  I looked at my own listings on both dotCOM and dotCA and none have the new layout yet.

It does look good.

@mycheaperstuff  here's another thread about it too:

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/NEW-Listing-page-layout-Thumbs-UP/m-p/33781112#M2220583

My only real complaint at this point is that when eBay announced they were redesigning the view item page, they explicitly said they were going to move the item specifics and description higher up the page so they would be displayed before any modules that show other items & ads....and so far that doesn't appear to be the case - there are still two rows of Promoted Listings ads between the main image area and the IS/description.

I still see one or two rolls of sponsored ads or similar items ads just before the ITEM SPECIFICS and then the bottom of the listings has 5 , 6 ROLLS or more rolls of sponsored ads.

NEXT UP for ebay will be sponsored and similar items ads circling your ENTIRE listing and each ad is blinking and FLASHING and you won't even notice your item(s) at all.  Similar to Time Square:🤔

Here is the exact same listing. No surprise that it's inconsistent.

This would be a disaster if the test changes from one listing to another across the same seller's listings.

I can't enlarge most pictures. I have to pass by 100's of listings.

Re: Improved page view!

There is no need to "report" these changes as you see them.  Ebay is testing different view, working on getting to one that most of us will like.  So letting Ebay know your opinions is important, very important.

I've just checked out your listing. Looks to be back to the normal view with the pictures at the left side instead of the bottom.

However, I did see the new version listing page. A BIG HUGE BLOW UP picture, and the item description photos are BLOWN up as well in seller's who has pictures in their descriptions. So much so, you have to SCROLL sideways. WHAT a HOT mess!

My reaction when the new page popped up.

However, it's probably one of those ebay things that every time a buyer/seller clicks the page, they get a different view. Just like the hide and seek with the description EXPERIMENT.  Seems like the HIDE the description is gone.

I've just read an insightful article "Is Your Website Repelling Potential Customers?"

Is your page overtaken with ads? YEP

Your potential customers don’t want to spend time on sites that are ad-heavy, and for most businesses, it’s best not to have them at all. Visitors are more likely to stay on your page if they don’t have to skim through ads to see the content they are looking for.

Do you require too much of your visitors? YEP

Is your website, page too busy? YEP

Any wonder why sales are down and views are down. As a buyer myself, ebay is REPELLING me to stay away. As a seller, ebay is trying their hardest to make me quit this platform. ☹️

Re: Improved page view!

So you would prefer they didn't test this and we had no impute in it?  I don't understand.  Is it they are damned if they do and damned if they don't???

Not too thrilled using SELLERS as guinea pigs. Nothing wrong with the pages. WHY all the experimenting and changes?

I like the BREATHE EASY on the RETURNS for sellers who accept returns.  BREATHE EASY feels like RETURN for whatever reason, NO questions ask, as if you are in Amazon. LOL

Oh well, ciao bella GIF_picard-patrick-stewart_11.gif

Re: Improved page view!

Because not everyone agrees on anything.  So Ebay is collecting info on what members like and don't like.  Along with suggestions for other improvements.   I think it is odd that you question why they would even ask us.  It may not be something that is important to you, but for many others it is very important.
