I’m so annoyed right now. I feel like eBay sides with these jerks who are obviously scamming sellers. In the past month I have had the following issues:
1. buyer claimed I sent him empty box
2. Two buyers claim I didn’t give them refunds for a listing I canceled. Of course I did.
3. One keep an item, take stuff out of it. Box is back up and “return to sender”
4. Another lie and say the item was broken. When I asked for pictures, he left me negative feedback
5. a lady get mad bc she received the item as I described and wanted to know why I sent it that way.
holy **bleep** what is it with the fraud?

Wow! Really sorry this happened to you, people know right now that Ebay has no customer support and it's just running rampant with online sales. Those are angry thieves trying to get something for nothing and are getting away with it. I have ceased all selling and buying on Ebay right now and that's to bad because I really have some wonderful treasures to list. Maybe it's time for us sellers to unite!

Why are you so sure it’s fraud?
You only have a few feedback and sell items that seem highly fragile and/or perishable.
It appears this could be a learning opportunity to reflect on packing, descriptions and various business practices.
A learning curve is normal; it’s how one responds that makes the seller.

I'm truly sorry you are going through such a hard time. This is not any easy business to be in and you need a tough skin. You also need to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. 1) There is no way around the empty box claim. Been there, done that, it stinks. 2) When cancelling I find it best to message the buyer and tell them that their refund will go back to whatever funding source they used to pay for the item, and that especially with credit cards, it might not show up for several days. 3)If a buyer sends a package back as refused, you are considered as having delivered the package and can win a claim of Item Not Received. 4)Never ask for pictures, just tell the buyer to return for a full refund, and send a label. Repeat if they give you a hard time. Negs happen, they don't count for anything with eBay, and if you give a calm factual reply, you come out shining like a star. 5) you aren't giving enough detail for us to help with that last one.

About shipping hatching eggs and the like, I know in one FB you say 'no special handling' you might want to look into the USPS fragile package program - it costs a little extra but does actually get special handling (unlike putting fragile stickers on things where I swear they get an extra kick in the sorting centers) - the USPS has designated stickers for this which shows the service was paid for and it will get actual special handling. Just passing it along in case there is a need.
I'm sorry for the woes - I wonder sometimes if new sellers, on top of the learning curve, also get taken advantage of.

Hello, you probably won't like this, but, it is sincerely meant to help you. At least two of your angry customers have every right to be upset and left appropriate feedback. You should be annoyed with yourself and learn from the issues they had.
Cancelling an order is never good and should be avoided at all costs. Your buyer probably felt a need (not want) for the yeast. If you don't have it or can't get it, don't list it.
The feedback you recieved for expensive broken special eggs is appropriate. Your response to it of "no special shipping, as described" is uncalled for, unprofessional, and will certainly not help you sell more eggs.
If a customer complains about a fairly expensive grape seedling arriving dry and with a bad root system, an immediate replacement, full refund, and sincere apology is the only legitimate way to handle the complaint. You lost the second they said "not as described".
Your handling of these three situations does not meet the expected standards of a good eBay seller. I hope you take my comments in the spirit they are offered and do well in the future. Thanks.

You are gentle and subtle Rose. Sometimes laying out the facts a little more harshly can be more helpful to someone who has gotten themselves into trouble.

😂 I have never been accused of being gentle or subtle, quite the opposite.
I actually screenshot your comment and sent it to my daughters and a few coworkers.

Yes!!! We’re cash’s strapped. I was laid off for Covid. Just went back to work. I sell on eBay as a side gig anyway, but man this is frustrating. I usually block and decline low ball offers and stuff because those people are always a problem. The guy would said stuff was broke received extra product from me and a $10 discount when he purchased. He totally wanted a refund that I didn’t give.

1. Because I would never send anyone an empty box.
2. Because I sent the refunds which were verified by PayPal and eBay.
3. I’ve been selling for a long time. I’ve created a new account when we became an LLC. It’s always fraud when they send you an email demanding a refund or negative feedback. It’s always fraud when they refuse to send you pictures of a “broken item”.
4. It’s definitely fraud when someone steals items out of a box and returns it to you wanting money back.
5. All my items are perishable or fragile. So did you even pay attention?

I’m just more frustrated than usual. Been dealing with fraudsters for a while. This month was just rough, more rough than usual. I actually got out of the empty box claim. 1. It was weighed at the PO and 2. eBay is making them file police reports now.—— usually ebay is pro-buyer. I’m just annoyed is all. Venting I guess. Lol

I’ve been selling for years. New account for a new business we recently LLC’d. Haven’t had too many issues with the hatching eggs a surprisingly, Ive shipped hundreds of eggs out and only 1 report cracked eggs. I refunded. She still left neutral feedback- can’t make them all happy.

You do realize "no customer support" works both ways, right?
