I wouldn't count your CHA-CHICKENs just yet.  lol  I do think they solved the eggs price problem.  Having smaller chickens laying smaller eggs.  😛

I was tempted to snatch a few chickens on my way home from work yesterday LOL!  Look at these beauties!  ... snapped this shot from roadside on an Amish farm ... 

Actually, in our area there are many farms that sell eggs and we often get a few double yoke eggs in a dozen ... those are BIG eggs.  Prices have ranged from $ 1.50 to $ 3.00 per dozen.  The farm families won't eat all the eggs their chickens lay so they sell them to locals.  We have not experienced any shortages here.
