I wanted to buy a hallway runner, but need to know if it was rubber backed and washable. Tried to contact seller to ask, an received this eBay reply>We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.
Not only that, but the seller DOES NOT accept returns..
Would you buy for such a seller?

I wouldn't buy from a seller who doesn't answer questions either but wouldn't so much care about a "no returns" seller since they are simply denying remorse returns. If the item is truly not as described then I am protected. In this case though, when the rug arrives with no rubber backing or machine wash instructions since technically the seller never described it as having had either in the first place, can you still claim SNAD? I'm thinking no. Especially if I am looking for specific features in a rug and purchase one anyway that may or may not have them.
Which brings us to my point. Far too many buyers are using the MBG as a "get out of transaction free" card. It's one thing to have an item arrived not as described but something completely different if it arrives described but not as the buyer imagined. So buyers who hits both of these roadblocks in a listing needs to ask themselves a question: "Would I go ahead and make the purchase if there were no pictures?"
Your answer will decide whether online shopping is for you. Or not.

I don't. If they aren't responsive before the sale when they are sucking up to get the sale, they wont be any better if there is a problem after. Wouldn't be at all surprising if they were also on here whining about not making any sales.

Some buyers are sellers too. That's also very important to check. albertabright
Yes they are .. I once [ okay not just once ] but on this one particular day I received a very low ball offer on a jewelry item . I declined the offer . The'' would be'' buyer then told me that I should take her offer because she couldn't make any profit on resale at the price I was asking . Oh okay didn't realize that . 🙂 Tulips

Dont get weird about resellers - I have a buyer on the "craft and vintage site" who stocks her second hand clothing boutique with my stuff. She pays well, buys in bulk and is pretty regular. Once I get MY money, I don't care WHAT you do with it.
