IPR?

I just noticed that my listings no longer disclose to the buyer that immediate payment is required. All of my listings are IPR. Did ebay remove that statement in the payment section of our listings?

Sorry if I was unclear. My original question asks if ebay  no longer shows buyers that an IPR listing is “immediate payment required”? I scrolled thru a bunch of random eBay listings and haven’t seen a listing disclose “immediate payment required” thus far. Did eBay get rid of his long ago?

Because it is one of the three bizarre problems going on at this point, basically all during the same time spans.  

a)  eBay giving out incorrect address to seller for shipping their parcels.  This is an eBay issue, for which the sellers are taking the heat. 

b) eBay is cancelling sales when neither the buyer nor seller initiated any cancel for some vague 'system issue'.   They are removing the funds from the seller's accounts and refunding the buyers whether or not the products have been shipped.   They are not making any plans for removing the defect/dings sellers are receiving for this, and if the seller gets a red donut for the eBay cancel action, eBay is denying removal of same. 

c)  Sellers have been surprised by some "hacking incidents" where buyers are issuing coupons or discounts to themselves that appear as seller generated (they are not). So, for example, a $2000. item ends up selling for $19.12.   eBay is not helping with this either, not to mention if a phony snad is filed, the seller is on the hook for the coupon amount as well, that is going to cost much more than the $19.12 they got.  

All in a day's fun and games around here while eBay customer service is still stuck in denial mode.

I have not seen IPR mentioned at all. It used to be under the BIN price for fixed priced listings.   As a buyer, one would think I would notice it to avoid the buying problems it provides to me. If it is on the "second page" under some 'see more' link, I have not looked since most of what I purchase is sold in the auction format anyway.  I will be sure if I spot a notice, or happen to go to the 'see more' I will let you know.  

Do you notice a change in buyer behavior that would indicate your IPR requirement is not being honored?  Can you have someone that knows your seller ID check for you?  Check yourself using another browser/device or incognito mode?

Are you sure about that? That's like saying if my local grocery store gives me a coupon to buy $5 of bread for $3, that when I go back to them to return the bread, they have to pay me $5, not the $3 I actually paid with the $2 off coupon.

If the buyer only pays $19 for a $2000 item, how can they be liable for the other $1981 return to the buyer? The coupon gave the buyer a discount, and the seller owes the buyer $19 in refund if the item doesn't work. I'm not sure how things work in the US, but in Canada the limit on the liability is what you actually paid. You cannot claim $1981 in damages because the item is "worth" $2000 and doesn't work.

That's like my box of bubble mailers from eBay coming across the border from the postal box in New York. I sent a receipt to the person picking them up that I paid zero for the envelopes, and $5.41 in sales tax. When those envelopes come across the border, the taxed amount is on what I paid, not on what the envelopes were selling for before I used a coupon.

No. I just noticed it used to be there and now it’s not. They could have removed it years ago and I just didn’t notice. That’s all. Kinda like how eBay added, then removed, then re-added the handling time disclosure.

People say they seen it displayed under the BIN price. I don’t see it there neither for any listing on ebay, do any of you guys?

Being hacked is a serious thing.  Some posters jump to that being the reason for strange things happening way too easily.  

IDK about your point C.  But I will say that individual accounts being hacked and the site being hacked are worlds apart and no where near the same thing.

Oh I'm with you on that.  Last weekend so many things happened.  I completely understand why there are questions, I just take issue with how some jump to a conclusion that is unlikely to be the issue at all but can scare the heck out of many members that only read these forums but do not post.

I said a few things in that post you are referring too, so if I missed answering what you wanted, just let me know and I'll try again.
