I would like to know where they hid yesterdays discussion on GOOD TIL CANCELED ???

Seems pretty shady that they can do that by altering your store subscription contract in a manner where you are going to have to keep real good account of your listings or you will be dinged more listing fees when they automatically add Good Till Cancelled when you relist and go over. (Not what I signed up for)

I will just keep my items under 1,000 listings to make sure I don't get taken advantage of. How will they profit from that when I have less items in my store. (That hurts both of us)

Not a very wise business maneuver and shady to say the least !

Whoever has a store should be able to list in a manner that fits their practice.

Yes, eBay is getting more & more shady & I think it's because they are losing so much business.  If you look on your Overview page, you can see that they are consistently under the overall sales from last year.  I believe they are doing this in order to charge more for over runs on the subscription packages.  My sales are really down too.  Also, their Indian customer service reps are terrible!!  I'm sure they are losing business because of them & because they are hurting their sellers more & more.  eBay is really bad!  Anyone have suggestions for other platforms to sell on?  Thanks!

While I'm at it, here are all the topics for future reference for selling/sellers.

If you are using the Seller Hub, when viewing your Active Listings, and Unsold listings, click on the CUSTOMIZE in the upper right-hand corner. You can add START DATE and END DATE to help manage the listings and END them before they roll-over.

I have not been able to find a similar setting if you are using the Classic All Selling.

They did the same thing a couple weeks ago when this ridiculous new GTC policy was first announced.  Everyone views this as a desperate money grab by Ebay.  They know people don't have the time to monitor postings that will be ending every night and cancel the ones they don't want renewed.  They're hoping hit sellers who has used all of their free postings with posting fees when the GTC postings are relisted.  It's like the guy who buys a gym membership and stops going after a couple weeks but keeps paying month after month for something they don't want. It's a same principle and a sad way to conduct business. When was the last change Ebay announced that actually helped sellers?  It's always about additional fees and restrictions. Why doesn't Ebay focus on helping seller actually sell more so way everybody wins. Ebay doesn't seem to value it's sellers and definitely doesn't want to listen to their concerns.  This posting will be hidden too if it gets to much attention.

It is certainly okay for eBay to admit that they made a mistake and reverse this bad decision.  This happens all the time in business.  We need to be able to decide if we want an item to automatically be relisted or if we would like to evaluate the item and make adjustments prior to relisting if that is what we decide.  Listen to your sellers eBay!

I agree. I have been selling on eBay for over 14 years and found that selling items under "Good till cancelled" does not work the item just sits there for 30 days. The option to list 1-10 days is best for sellers it gets more up-front attention and potentially sale much faster with a shorter time frame..

Why " SHADY" is ebay's middle name.  Look at how they introduced the Spring seller update.   They couldn't wait to start it the first day of spring which is today.  They decided to start it on Monday March 18 inorder to get a 3 day headstart on screwing sellers.   They did not give sellers a chance to edit or hold off in starting their auctions.

Folks ,  you can combat this horrible change.  Try to align your auctions to start on 1 or 2 evenings.   Get a HUGE calender, count 29(or 28  days or whatever) and clearly mark it that you have ads to close.    Try to list your items to end late and within a close time range.  This way , it will be easier to shut them down.

You can also switch to more auctions.  I personally , have been posting on ebay's facebook name using my son's name  and blasting this money grab move.    THey keep removing or hiding the posts .

I am appalled how this company continues to screw sellers and change the agreement that we made with them when we joined. I pity the folks that signed long term deals for a store and now have to work like crazy  to reduce their listings or pay a ton of money in fees.

If this were not a money grub, the relists should be free or at least , reduced.   If if I think positively, I don't see how this will be successful in the vintage toys categories.   With all of the clutter  with countless relists, it will be harder for many buyers to find what they are looking for .    Not everyone knows how to do a search.  NOt all searches are successful either.      More fees = higher prices too.    Buyers are  already ticked off that shipping has gone up a lot .  They don't need/want higher prices either.    I am clearly disappointed.  By far, the worse change that ebay has done.   This is worse then revoking negative feedback for buyers.

I use INKFROG.  they have a widget to end GTC before relisting

This quest stands on the edge of a blade...stray but a little and you shall fail to the ruin of us all.

Hopefully most are doing what I am doing. Marking down and getting rid of inventory. Spending maybe a couple months playing the Good Until I Cancel Every Listing on the 29th or so of each month. Leaving my store completely empty for a few days each month. Then I can use my free listings to list with, only up to the amount where I aquire fees. Then boxing up what's left of the inventory and shoving it in storage, and canceling my subscription.

"I would like to know where they hid yesterdays discussion on GOOD TIL CANCELED ???"

Which one? Was it one of the more recent 125 GTC topics or was it one of the 149 two-three day old GTC topics?

I don't know how Ebay can do this to Sellers?  Why are they allowed to tell us we cannot put our item up for 30 days now.  I can't even revise my items from GTC to 30 days.  I know I will find a way around it, but why should I be forced to waste time doing this, when there are so many other things these days I am spending days doing, causing more and more stress on Ebay.

Please just put things back the way they were.
