My sales for the last 30 days are up 56.2%.
So ebay reduces my traffic by 8.9%.
Why? Because I started selling too much?

How did they do that?

How and why, I don't know.
But that is the from review your traffic on the hub.

Not sure! Maybe your sales were instant and that has thrown off their bot calculations?
I can't really define "traffic" but to me, it just means people who looked at your listings / ask questions. I try not to get caught up in eBay's calculations!
We all know when sales are down or up as a seller!

eBay reduced your traffic? Or are there just fewer people looking at your listings recently? I'm familiar with your feelings toward eBay, but they aren't always to blame for every nuance in your account statistics.

It says ebay reduced your traffic by 8.9%?
I doubt that.
Could it be that your traffic was down 8.9 % and you're blaming ebay?

No, Ebay does not reduce your listing visibility. There is no magic button to do that. The problem is you are selling in the most oversaturated category on Ebay. Your items may show up on the first 10 pages, or they may end up on pages 23-50 which buyers typically do not spend that much time searching that many pages. Most buyers search lowest first so you best chance of always being in the top few pages is to have lower prices than your competition.

Why would Ebay reduce your traffic and lose those fvf fees?

Nobody reduced anything - traffic goes up and down, as do sales.

View/Impression traffic is like a roller coaster. There will be days with incredible traffic, other days where the traffic is minimal, & other days where it's just flat. I wouldn't stress over it too much & I wouldn't waste energy blaming ebay. It's normal & things will be OK. Plus, you have to realize that there are new listings from other sellers being launched practically every second. Therefore, the competition is fierce for any view traffic.
Keep plugging away & things will be fine!

pburn,
Whatever.
They are responsible for the number posted, and that is never right and changes day by day.
I have screenshots showing different results from one day to the next.
If it is not their fault, I know it is mine.
If you want to add value to the post feel free, if you want to make excuses for ebay don't tag me.

yes ebay decides who sees my items. It is not that difficult.
My sales are up, and ebay cut my traffic.
My sales are up, and traffic is down. Not my responsibility, just the facts from ebay, until they change them again.

First, I didn't make any excuses for eBay in my post--I didn't have to, because your traffic stats are not eBay's fault. Of course they change from day to day, and how would you know whether they're wrong?
Second, I didn't tag you.

So sad that all of you think ebay is not responsible for anything.
If they did not decrease my traffic as sales increased, who did?
Who decided how many people see my listings, ebay does.
If it is not ebay's fault, then they can not take credit for anything.

The fact that all of the regulars came back to explain why it is my fault that my sales are up and my traffic provided by ebay is down just shows that everyone should believe in themselves and not some lame excuse that does not make sense. The more people that respond to a post negatively the more threatened ebay must be.
