. . .even though I understand that they were imaginary.
But they did increase the number of views on my items, which helped slightly in this particular period of slow and limited sales. They at least provided an illusion that someone (or SOMETHING) was actually interested in looking at my items.
But, since eBay decided to scrub the viewing bots, now we're left with . . . reality.
And reality is harsh. It says "Nobody cares to view your items. No matter how much fun they might be, or how inexpensive, or how much time and love you exerted into listing them on eBay. The viewing bots are gone -- and there's nobody left who cares."
So, yes -- I miss my viewing bots.
But I also still miss my imaginary friends from when I was four years old.
I wonder if my viewing bots are playing games somewhere with my old imaginary friends from when I was four years old.
I bet they're having fun. . ..

If you want real imaginary friends, get into show business or politics.

The viewing bots are ordering stuff from our imaginary friends...or maybe I'm just imagining it.

Well....as long as they "keep" the stuff(s), because "imaginary" returns are the worst! 😉🙃

I think I see a business opportunity in this view/watches thing.
I'll set up a listing for views and watches, BIN for 15 cents for a view and 25 cents for a view and watch. Free shipping of course. Just post the item number in the notes to the seller when you buy. Item will be delivered within 24 hours max but usually within minutes if purchases are made on weekday afternoons. There will be a delay from 3pm to 4pm PDT as that is my nap time. No bots will be used and no animals will be harmed.

Where life is beautiful all the time & I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats
I miss my imaginary viewers too & have been somewhat shocked & disappointed by how low my real views are. BUT, the sales keep coming, so I guess it's okay.

Most all of my items are pretty lonely with 0 views. But I rather like the change, especially the 30 day cycle. Hard to know what's going on with the items to make decisions if I don't know (really) if they're getting any interest or not, especially when one gets hit like 800 times by bots and I wonder what's wrong that no one is picking it up after that many views. Now if I could have a "incept date" as opposed to the 30-day automatic renewal cycle they have now as column data, I can find somewhere it'd definitely help me to know what's going to move and what's not and make decisions appropriately about what I'm going to take down and keep up.

I'm WITH you on bringing our bot views back!!! Apparently, they were giving me "imaginary" HOPE!!!
