Hello,
I have just sold my first product and I have received a message from the buyer saying he is having issues with his paypal.
He has asked if I can relist the product so that he is able to pay via debit. Is this the correct process? Surely he just needs to select a different payment method? I dont want to pay a relist fee and im not sure if this is some sort of scam?
Thanks in advance.

That is a phrase used by scammers. Relisting is not going to improve the situation. Don't really know the game being played here unless the "buyer" also asked for your email address.

In addition, if you "sold" the item under this ID....there should be a reason why you don't show any sold or completed items.

@garethav2012
I see 4 active but nothing under sold
did your verify the message is from the buyer , many scams & this is one you always need to check to make sure the ID is from the person who is the actual buyer.
If he hasn't paid yet then he should be able to click the pay now button & select his payment method.
You can keep it in ebay messages and tell him he should click the pay now button & check out from there he should be able to select the payment option
I know you are based in the UK but would think this works the same there

Since you are a UK seller, you might want to check the UK discussion boards to make sure procedures for ebay.co.uk are the same as they are for ebay.com (mainly North America).

Your buyer is full of **bleep**. That makes no sense you would need to relist anything to pay with a different method. Your buyer is playing games, plain and simple.

NEVER let a buyer tell you how to run your business. Respond, "Dear buyer, please pay for this item within 2 days or I have to open an unpaid case. I am sorry but I am not going to relist. I have already paid enough fees on this item. Have a nice day." Then in 2 days, open an unpaid case . Wait 4 days and relist. MAKE SURE THAT YOU BLOCK THE BUYER . You do NOT want him to re-bid. If you do it this way, you get your fees back. If you get a negative, it will be removed.
