Been selling items for years. Currently my seller rating is at 99.1, I sell used items and ebay wants an almost perfect selling experience and no returns, can't happen, I am not selling a plastic phone case. Your (Ebay) policies have become unrealistic, your fees insane, your return policy makes Obama look like a republician they are so liberal. You can only rip off your sellers so much! As soon as my inventory dwindles I am gone, thank goodness I didn't depend on this crazy company for my primary income. PS>you are not Amazon, stop copying them (DUH)! F off Ebay, good bye!!

Sellers are having a hard time with all the new stuff going on. Fees are getting higher sales are going down for most paying shipping to and from. Plus dealing with all the scammers with no help. In fact its almost like scammers have a helping hand these days. It pains us to see yet another seller throw in a towel. Best regards

I'm not sure I follow. When it comes to returns, doesn't eBay only penalize sellers for not taking them?

All returns are and have been recently counting against the seller. I've noticed that sellers with buyer's remorse returns see lowered sales and lowered visibility.

OP, it's sad to see you go, especially sad to see you upset like this.
I know that doesn't help you, but wishing you all the best in the future.

It's not just Ebay tho that is messed up! I'm on the Amazon boards now - sellers on Amazon Ca have received letters notifying them that they have been suspended due to not mailing out their packages on Victoria's Day - which is a Canadian Holiday wherein there is no postal service or shipping companies open. Some one redid the Amazon Canada Holiday closures and didn't block off Victoria's Day - now3 we have all these CA sellers upset.

I guess I'm not able to detect when other seller have remorse returns.

I've noticed a downturn in sales and visibility if say I get a couple of returns in a short period. It's been discussed in many groups on Facebook as others are experiencing the same thing.
Even if it is only suppose to be SNAD returns that are lowering visibility - that is wrong as Ebay has no way to know if that return is truely SNAD and seller's fault or a false SNAD that the buyer filed to get free shipping.

There is certainly a need for most organizations to raise standards of employee performance.

I've had 20 returns out of 1,200 transactions, my sales are up 350% since last year, and 50% up since this time last month, and I sometimes am so elated that I'm doing well and then I come on the forums and see nothing but doom and gloom negativity and start freaking out because I see so many conspiracy theories and horror stories on here, and, I'm not experiencing ALL of the things everyone else is. Mind you, though, I have my fair share of issues on Ebay, too. I've been selling for over 15 years and have seen it all. I've had slow periods and times of zero sales or slow sales and terrible visibility even back in the days before all this talk about lowered visibility and all that was rampant. Last May, I had 500+ items listed and only managed to sell 23 things. This May, I've sold 150 items or so thus far. Last year, I had an even lower return rate than I do now and my visibility and all that jazz (and sales) is excellent nowadays because I try to list at least 20 new items daily, which boosts visibility, and I've found that to be the #1 thing that boosts sales - listing something daily, especially if it's at least 10 new items daily. Food for thought. Sorry you're going through this but you CAN do well on here and it's not impossible to thrive or improve things.

??? Sorry ed - I may be a little tired - but I don't get the comment. Are you being sarcastic?
Nothing about raising employee performance - like Christmas, New Years Day and other federal holiday in the US - the postal and shipping services are closed in Canada on Victoria's Day. Amazon goofed as items couldn't have been shipped that day - meanwhile they upset a bunch of sellers with suspension letters.

Think of the hundreds of thousands of sellers on ebay.
Only a fraction post here, and obviously they are here because they are experiencing a problem.
But the majority like yourself are doing well, and all I can add is keep it up.
Yes, you can do well here if you have a good product and are willing to adapt.
