I'm About to Melt Down Over This Shoe Authentication

So I got a couple pair of new Nike sneakers without the original boxes. I sold one pair no problem, went through authentication in New Jersey no problem, and the buyer left me positive feedback. I sold the other pair (exact same model sneaker from the exact same source), it was shipped to the authenticator in Las Vegas, and rejected because they "didn't match pictures." I was infuriated but I figured there had to be some sort of mix-up because my auction pics were of the pair I sold. I got the shoes back, posted them again, sold them again, went to the same authenticator again, and this time rejected because the "shoe size doesn't match the shoe size on the box." The shoes CAME WITH NO ORIGINAL BOX AND I CLEARLY STATED THAT IN THE AUCTION. I need help here. What can I do? It's an absolute joke at this point.

It seems like both buyers and sellers are having issues with the program.

Not much you can do it is out of your control.

Perhaps you can contact eBay staff here:

Sorry, but there does not seem to be a "facebook" version like the eBay for Business page.

Let us know, if you use it and it is useful.

So very sorry - what a mess.....while the timing to say this might not be what you wish to hear, I am guessing selling these on e-Bay is not perhaps the best choice for these.  Which is I am certain, unfortunate and frustrating.

There are some other online sites out there that you might wish to check out if these do not meet the criteria for e-Bay authentication.   Good luck and try as ittybitnot suggests if you decide to pursue this further with e-Bay.

Thanks for the replies! I believe what I'm going to do is list them as pre-owned instead of new and reduce the price to under $150 so I don't have to deal with the authentication process again. It's extremely frustrating that eBay seems to have no standardization with this program. It seems to be very subjective, very mismanaged, and to go far beyond simple authentication.

Wait... were you listing them as "new" - or "new (other)" - or "new (open box)"?

If you were listing them as "new"  - That does require the original box (i.e. Original retail packaging) to be listed as "new"....

No I listed them as what they were, "New Without Box." This is the reason for the frustration on my part. It's impossible for the shoe size not to match the shoe size on the box because there was no box and I made that clear in my auction.

Good luck!  Hopefully, 3rd time is the charm!
