I've noticed on a majority of the sales I have had in the past month, almost all of them were due in part because I used the "send offer" tool that sends an offer to the watchers on the item. This has been a great tool to get sales, but I noticed somewhat of a loophole in the system. I require immediate payment for a BIN - and when I send those offers for a BIN listing, the buyer can win the item, and then....never pay for it. The only solution I can think of is to change the listing to the accepted offer price - *while keeping the item listed on eBay* - so if the buyer flakes out on the offer, the item is still up for grabs. It doesn't sound perfect - but I think something else is needed versus just letting an item sit for a few days with no views. I hope I am coming across clearly on this.

Lots of us have complained about this very issue. No one at eBay is listening.

Yes change your bin to the offer price .

Maybe it's an eBay conspiracy to get more fees from sellers.

ebay has strongly indicated that you may get your wish next year sometime....I think it will be easier for them to do once pretty much everyone is in Managed Payments (at least that's what they've been saying)

They have been selling us Unicorns and rainbows for a long time.

How often does this happen to you?

Out of my 60 recent transactions it has only happened once. It was a high value item nonetheless, and I ended up selling it for even cheaper later on...I thought it would happen again tonight with a high valued sale, but I lucked out and it went through easy peezy.

Adyen is a unicorn.

I think what you are asking for in other words is to have Immediate Payment Required applied to a Make Offer acceptance. The item stays on sale otherwise until someone else accepts THEIR offer that they received from the same seller AND pays for it - or until the auction ends with a winner that way if the listing is an auction.
First Come (and pay) - First Served. What a concept. 😉 I think the problem here is that even if a suggested change is solid and useful - Ebay still needs to find programmers to implement it without breaking other things. Thats where they tend to fall down the most.

I have noticed that with eBay as well. I understand that it is very easy to mess up an entire website with just a few lines of code....Terrifying.
