I listed a Husqvarna hat last night ... 5 minutes later it gets taken down for being counterfeit.
Because the takedown was so quick, it had to be taken down by a ebay bot and not as a request from Husqvarna.
I've fought these kind of takedowns before but I always has a receipt.
This time no receipt. These hats were given to me by the Local Husqvarna rep.
Do you think a letter from the Husqvarna rep would help me win this case if I decide to fight it?
I guess i'll have to close down my factory in the Philippines that makes counterfeit hats. 😉

'314' hats others listed by sellers...LOL.
And I had to look up what it is...a cap with a name on it.
Sure it wasn't another seller who reported it?
Not worth the fight...unless it's worth a lot of money...$100.+
I had Russian stamps taken down...4 listings out of 50+...only 4...why?
I took all the other listings down while hundreds of other sellers are selling 'Russian' stamps.

Would the condition of New or Used be a factor? Are listings with Used permitted?

No. I doubt the bots have any memory that would prevent them from yanking the listing again the second time around.
I would say that your only chance of successfully listing it would be to start over with different photos, reworded title and a new description. I assume you took your own photos; did you include a closeup of the manufacturer's label inside?

I'd vote for "bot" takedown.
I also vote that its a bot takedown. There must have been some key word in the item description that was flagged by the bot. @inhawaii: You should look through the item description, assuming you kept a copy, and see what word might be the one that the bot caught. Also I suggest perusing through the item descriptions (and perhaps the item specifics) of your competitors' listings to see if there is a pattern on why theirs stayed up and yours only lasted five minutes.

I had a t-shirt given to me by a company rep taken down.
It's because they don't want you selling their merch.

I only had 4 of them to list.
My factory in the Philippines where I manufacture counterfeit hats could only crank out 4 hats. 😉

Stihl makes bot software.
I'm terrified to refer to anything by it's manufacturer name anymore.
I seriously don't know how used clothing sellers do it.

What makes you think a Representative wouldn't give away counterfeits? They're substantially cheaper.
