I have noticed many people use the all encompassing "we" when referring to their business. Even if it is you and your wife or something please if you only seel 12 items a month you don't need another person. "We think that Ebay should do this or that because our business is not thriving as it should". Well "we" all know you work out of your bathroom office and sell leiderhosen.

I just assume sellers using we are working with more than one person. I wouldn't ever dig deep enough into their seller ID or store to try and figure it out because it makes zero difference. I also wouldn't use "we" regarding my own sales on eBay because it is just me.
There are many worse things to get upset over. Have you considered sellers who dropship from Amazon using their Prime account? 😉 /toungueincheek

And hey, don't knock the lederhosen sellers. There's some serious money to be made in that line of product!

I use "we" occasionally because sometimes I sell things for other people. In that case, there are in fact two of us involved, because the item itself belongs to someone else and I'm just doing the listing for them.

We have a product that we want to sell, once sold we will divide the money among all 3 of us, sister ebay, brother paypal, and myself. What is wrong with "We" now?

In our case, it's because we have multiple personalities.
And it's LEDERHOSEN, BTW. Lieder are songs.

I have noticed , but not from many.
I never used the "we" much. And only back when the muttlymob was still with us. Because they would get mad when I tried to take all the glory with "me" and "I" instead of "we" and "us".
Making them mad was a bad thing. "We" would then purchase new collars, expensive dog toys, etc. And when "we" tried to change passwords, all doggy hades would break loose. So we learned to keep the kids happy.
Sometimes it's the little things.

But .... but .... but ebay wants everyone to use 'we' - because then it is inferred to be the collective 'we of ebay' of which one is referencing. And since it is ebay that is important here (do I hear laughing or is that the collective ebay head nodding that I hear?), just ask them, they will tell you. Hasn't one and all heard that people buy things on 'ebay'? Not from so-and-so or whose-its-shop or what's-their-name, but 'ebay'. ebay has this, ebay does that, ebay guarantees thus-and-such.
ebay wants everybody to say 'we'. Especially since it is just one, big, happy family!
Hrmpf! A new year and STILL no sarcasm font!

"Monseur..Is that a mouse in your pocket, or are you just happy to see we?"
"Oui!"

Now, that could be a touchy subject.

"Monseur, does your dog bite?"
"OUI!"
"Where are your singing pants, then?"

In the beginning, we were a we because we had a partner. Now we are we because my assistants insist.
We thank you for your opinion. Our service department will review your complaint and evaluate its worthiness.

I use "we" in my listings,
because my cat demands I do.
What can I say?
Baby likes pretty things ...
