I have a question. I just started selling on ebay in March 2021. I listed 5 items and I sold 2 in March and 1 item in April. One item sold once each week after the other. But now I have 9 listings and I am listing more items each day so I get to have like at least 400 listings or more. My question is, no one is buying anything. I have designer shoes for sale, different things, kitchen electronics. I have great pictures, great description. I just want to know why I am not getting sales. I saw a youtube video where they said "you have to have like at least 100 listings to get the ball rolling, and better if you have 400 listings.
I know it has to be a product that someone wants, good price, good description. I get it.
My question is "To get the sales moving, is it that I have to have "a lot of listings?"
What about if I list 300 products and I still don't get sales?"

My best advice to you is find another platform. I have been with them for 7 years. This last "policy" decision will remove my top rated seller status - something I have earned and had for several years. That is not easy to do. They do not "listen" to either buyers or their sellers. Run while you are ahead a bit.

Looked at a few of your listings and the descriptions looks like you just copied them from another site.
Spend a little more time and write your own descriptions and that might help.
I don't think it matters how much you have listed as it does what you have listed.
You can have 1000 items listed, but if no one is looking for those items, it isn't going to matter.
There's no big secret to selling items on Ebay, sometimes you just have to get lucky.

@bestsel32 Any marketplace, including this one, rewards activity. Just keep listing. Don't worry about 'what if' - using best practices, site activity and consistent listing is key.
I don't agree with any particular number - I do OK with less than 200 listings here, though sales have fallen off since I keep running out of inventory to keep listing - I'm a really small seller, if I don't list, I don't sell. But anyway, it depends on too many factors, but the more you have running, the more choice you have for buyers, the more chances of getting seen in searches, etc. etc.
Consistency is key - just keep going.

Success on ebay is all about WHAT you are selling. Folks seem to think it is about how many listings a seller has. Your sell-through rate makes you relevant. Quickest way to burnout is to list and list and list with no results. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. Your listings are for items that can be found at multiple outlets. The scarf set and pajamas may be better suited for winter. It's not rocket science but there is a knack. Good Luck.

Plus I was curious how you were going to ship the dinner napkins for $2.40? You may actually lose money on this transaction.

If I were you, I'd buy about 25 cheap-o items and get that feedback score cranked up.

I just started on ebay. How do I get constant sales?
You get constant sales by constantly posting items that people are willing to buy.
I know that sounds like a glib or facetious answer, but it is not.
Retailers spend millions of dollars each year trying to figure out what buyers want and what items to offer.
If selling was easy, everyone would be rich.

It takes alot of listings to sell something every day....
Your titles need work....that silk scarf needs a size.....and color.....
This item....
Dena Home Finger Tip Towels Set of 2, Hand painted 100% Cotton Dinner Napkins.
are the finger tip towels or napkins? The box seems to say towels, from what I can read....but if I were a buyer I might expect napkins & towels from that title. Take out the napkins, mention the box in the title (w Box) and IF the box is in excellent condition....put Gift Quality in the title. The pictures are blurry of the back of the box....that need improvement. You mention gold glitter...do they actually have glitter?...if not, don't claim it.
I would title it......Dena Home Fingertip Towels w Box Set of 2 Hand Painted Gold Design Gift Quality.
On your Hat/scarf....Take some better pictures of the items...the hat/scarf look yellow, pictures are dark and display is not appealing on that hanger.
Always put the brand name first....in a title....the measuring cups.
All that said in an effort to help....not to criticize or embarrass you. The first thing I listed, a buyer took the time to ask me 6 legit questions that should have been in the listing.......I've always been grateful...

I sell a variety of things, some old, some brand new. You just never know what people are looking for. I can have an item stay online for months before the right buyer comes along. And then there are things I pull out of a closet or bring in from the garage... photo and list... and within 20 minutes it's sold! That indicates it was an item someone had been waiting for.
You just never know.
Hang in there.

And yes, write your own data, add thougths if necessary.
I was looking a te phone holder and I wondered Does that stick to my car in any way? Will it stick something annoying on my phone? But you did not say.

The way to have regular sales is to add more and choose a couple categories you sell a lot of. Less of this is what I found in my closet.
And stay away from clothing-unless it's very wanted and expensive.

That was serious. I don't want something sticking to my new phone or my leased car.
