They are not being answered on the 2018 update board.
I have questions about the multi variation listings. I have listings with the same item with different sizes and colors(hence the multi variations). lol
When I search those items, it shows a separate listing for each one. This is so confusing, and will be to buyers. How do I fix it?
Also, I thought our existing listings would automatically switched over, now I hear we have to do it manually. So we cancel each one and create a new listing?

It looks normal. Buyers can see different color sand they can choose different sizes.

No, I did originally set it up with the correct color on each variation. It occasionally defaults back, but that is not the issue I'm referring to. Please read my last post. I so appreciate your help on this.

@percgrabbe-0wrote:EBAY made work for you to do. They dont care if you sell anything. They only care if someone sells the item. Not you necessarily. I wonder how many sellers dont even know yet that EBAY made scrambled eggs of their listings variations that they paid for and worked on and now they have to do the work all over? One can only assume EBAY is hoping you (a small seller) will quit because they cant be bothered. Why else would they do this? Certainly not to accomodate you or help you sell anything.
WWWeeeeellllll...I have had the same one running since Thanksgiving and it still works fine. So not sure what conspiracy you are seeing.

I understand the problem the OP is having. Read their first post. They had variations set up. It worked right. Now the site got updated. It comes up wrong. I am not the one confused here nor is it not truthful or negative. When you sell things work is required. Especially if you deal with a site like EBAY where they want to change everyones listings 3 times a year minmum via updates.

When I do a random search using attributes and brand, a separate listing comes up for each one. It's separating my MV listings into 5 different listings in the group listings. You guys don't see that?

tweety it depends on what ebay search your buyer is dumped into. If you click on that link above you posted it shows you have 7 variations if you copy the exact title word for word and click advanced search enter the exact title that listing shows you only have 2 varations...

Hi @tweetystwades, I've been unable to recreate the issue you are describing? When I search for your item, I see listing that then allows me to view the variations without issue. I don't see multiple listings in search results. Can you share a link to the search results you are seeing? I've included a screenshot of what I am seeing below for reference:

I'm sorry tweety but I'm not seeing all these different listings whether I click your link or shirt for your listing using the pertinent keywords. I get 1 listing with the variations

I did a random search on the brand and attributes, and I saw the "Group-Ungroup button at the top. When I clicked "Group", a separate listing came up for each one in the variation. Now when I search, the "Group-Ungroup button is not showing up. So I can't recreate the issue at this time. Please try to do as I said searching the brand and attribute, and clicking the "Group" button.

I don't know what the heck is happening. How do we know what our buyers wil see. I did a random search using brand and attributes, I guess there were to many and I saw that group ungroup button at the top right. When I click group, is when I saw all the different listings for my one MV listing.

Will this work differently each time?

tweety every search for the same item shows different results different placements ebays got a mess going on. If you search NY Collection Blouse 1X you are shown 645 listings if you click grouped you are shown 171 listings one of your listings is being displayed and its title is
NY Collection Plus Size Top 1x Sleeveless Utility Blouse Spectrum Blue 2nd
02-28-2018 02:49 PM
Now if you copy that tile from the listing being displayed and enter that exact tile into advanced search it sends you off to another sellers item not yours and for the life of me I can't figure out what the 2nd stands for....

I think sellers are looking for stability and what they are experiencing is a complete mess badly rolled out badly designed and making a sale will mostly be based on luck of the draw in all categories ebay deems as saturated...

Sorry I can't test that for you right now because I don't see that "group similar listings" button on my search results page... I see it in my ipad only for some reason.
But it would help if you were more detailed in your search, so one of us can repeat it for you. You mention you used brand and attributes. But what words did you use exactly??? I tried searching your brand "NY Collection" with "Checkered" (to filter out the other general results) and the color "Red". And I see your listing on top with the Red shirt photo. That is behaving as it's supposed to as far as I know.
I see your listing has two pulldowns with two options each... which should be a total of 4 combinations (variations).
You mention that if you search with the group similar items button, you see your variations split up into different listings??? Are there different listing IDs for them too? When multiple listings show up in a search result, all of the listings should have different listing IDs... unless you have that listing in the "promoted listings" campaign you set up (Sponsored).
