I need to cancel two orders so that I don't expose anyone. How do I go about it?

You would have to cancel as "out of stock". That will really hurt your account.

The chances of your transmitting Covid on packages is remote. If it's getting to the post office that is tough (I had Covid so I understand), call the USPS for package pickup.

Just before you do that you do know that if you do cancel you will get a defect. If you insist on cancelling an order you need to go to the transaction under your orders and click you want to cancel.  On the left side you will see three dots. Click that then scroll down and click cancel order. Then message the buyer explaining your situation.

Thank you. I am nearly certain I was exposed via the mail as I had not been outside my home or had company for two weeks. I don't think I should risk it. Isn't there any way to refund the order without damaging my record?

   Is this your first time contracting covid? Probably why you're afraid of giving it to someone (which is commendable). I've had covid at least three times once even after the fake vaccinations and the last two times it wasn't any worse than any other cold. I quit even getting tested. I think most people have developed a natural immunity to it as I did before I got stuck with the needle. I only got stuck due to misguided pressure from others which I regret now.

  As chapeau noted the chances of transmitting it through mailing packages is remote at best.

Many people are relying on their own experience with Covid to decide what to do when they are infected.

I do not test, got no more vaccinations after the 3rd triggered a viral infection which was present in my body, and understand that one is not likely to get infected by packages received in the mail.

Two cancellations may impact your seller level, so I would recommend you ship. There is enough economic devastation which came from unwarranted, unnecessary and ineffective attempts to curb Covid. Don't take more on yourself.

Be sure to wear your mask and rubber gloves.  Go to the post office, hold your breath and drop the packages into the package bin.   I think you will be just fine.

In this instance, you may contact your buyer and explain them the situation. The buyer does have the ability to cancel the order, so your account does not get a defect if they choose to cancel. Also, you may offer to do the deal again once you do get over Covid. The buyer is under no obligation to cancel so it will be up to you if you want to get a defect or not.

I would figure out a simple way to not transmit and get your orders shipped. 

Go online and request a USPS Pickup here:

Or,  mask up throw on some gloves to be safe and drop your packages at the post office. Don't cough on or visit with anyone and you are good to go.

Don't.   Send it.

Wipe it with a disinfectant if you wish.

But, remember .... NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED.

Covid is everywhere now. Everybody either has had it, or will.  

It won't kill, usually.

And a vaccine is available for those with the sense to use it (kind of like seatbelts, you can't force someone, nor should we.)

And, ebay will punish you for making those decisions for your buyer.

If it was my stuff you kept because you caught a cold I would be .... well, unhappy.  

You'll get the wrong kind of recognition.

Getting Covid from the mail is not really likely - a lot of research has been done of viri actually remaining 'live' on inanimate objects after handling. Just wash your hands thoroughly, pack your items, then see about getting package pickup, or if you can, mask up and take it to the post office.

I ended up with parosmia for six months after Covid, so it's no joke, I realise, but there is also sensible precautions you can take.

There simply is no actual reason you can cite for not shipping that's not out of stock. Telling your buyers that you can't due to Covid may lead to the same political nonsense the subject always seems to lead to. I'd just scrub up, pack and use gloves or whatever.

Not sure if this is helpful... but so do I.  Guess where I caught it? The Post Office. I am 100% certain because my husband works there and the Postmaster came to work sick as a dog (not tested), gave it to the carriers. Then we tested, as did the rest of the place.
My packages are going out. I will wear protection but it sure doesn't look like anybody cares anymore.
COVID is definitely no fun! Get better soon.

The amount of time your packages would be in the mail would be more than sufficient for the virus to die if it was on them. I would maybe wear mask and gloves to pack it, and then ship it. You can arrange for package pick-up if you don't feel well enough to drop it off at the post office.
