I read over my first Wednesday Chat yesterday, and was unimpressed to say the least (although I’d say Tyler rose to the top).
Let’s send all the Sri Lankan sellers to the Wednesday Chat!
That way, the non-questions can get non-answered and we won’t be bothered anymore!!!
Now, where do I turn in my “Woke” and “Cheerleader” cards? I’ve clearly forfeited both.

Well really I was saying other contributors monitoring threads to be moved
No reason to take it to personal?

It is up to the judgement of the moderators whether threads should be moved--not other contributors.

I'm not sure what that sentence means.
Look--someone posted that threads about Payoneer should be on the Payments board. I provided that member with the option of reporting the posts to the mods to be moved at the mods' discretion. End of story. Not sure why "turning them in" and "ratting on them" was brought up. I can't help but wonder if there's an agenda in their somewhere.

I remember it differently, although I was teaching by then with a brand new credential in hand.
Regardless, gone is gone and it's sad.
Fashion Board is really just "Is this Coach real?" and "Is this Chanel real?" and "Is this Hermes real?" page after page. No more discussion of actual fashion or history or changing styles or fabric or.... Jsales makes it worth stopping by, though.
Remember VBO (for everyone else, that's "Vintage Blow Out.") Once upon a time, in a land far far away, you could make a profit by the whole board advertising w/a cute jpeg in their listings in advance, and selling items for $14.99 every 3-day weekend.
Or "Eye Candy Wednesday?" Again, for everyone else - both Clothing Boards had permission to post their items for sale weekly on the two discussion boards. People would get up at 6 or 7 a.m. to have theirs in the first few posts. By 11 a.m. or so, a second thread had to be started because the first was so huge.
Ah, those were the days.... LOL

Meaning don't take it personal as if I was saying they or anyone was "ratting others out"
Time for a chill pill

I didn't know it.
I really thought the mods peeked at the boards regularly.
Well, now it's double annoying - I'd say 90% or so of threads that get moved are fine here. People should be able to post in the community where they feel comfortable.

Well, for what it's worth, I AM a moderator, but not here. I'm one of several on a completely different website for a consumer product you have heard of, and we have plenty to keep busy with in terms of which things are on-topic in which group.
Threads do not get relocated all that often, but as we are the ones who move them, it is ultimately our decision as to where the thread is a best-fit, and it really doesn't matter whether the thread is reported or we discover it on our own, as the end result is the same: it either gets moved or it doesn't, based on what it is, not who found it.
...and yes, of course we peek at the boards regularly, since they are what we're expected to be, you know, moderating. 😉

You mean they're not all here already???????
My summation is that there are 12 SLs that legally can sell as a business there and meet all the protocols. At least 1 sells coconuts and 1 sells rugs, 1 sells tea/tea related items and 2 sell dreamcatchers. Is there some booming enterprise I have missed? lol

“It has only been within the last few months that the government of sri lanka has allowed its citizens to participate on online selling at all. I am sure everyone was excited and hyped, and did not realize they had no way to accept payment since PayPal for accepting money was forbidden.”
Oh, so that’s what happened. Was wondering what the deal the inside jokes and mention of that country. Yeah, SL is late in the game, imo. Online sellin’ wasn’t like it used to be anyway, besides not able to accept payment via PayPal, only for buying. They might as well have kept the policy.

And then there was the Feedback board, where a questioner deemed unworthy would be beset by a swarm of piranhas.

Mod's no doubt check in now and then, but removed posts is usually at the behest of posters targeting others for whatever reason they can find, but you soon learn how to recognise those posters.......

I remember the feedies, too - but at that time I was on a boxing board with regular ego meltdowns and hormone storms and the feedies just couldn't beat that.

I have often told posters here and IRL that they can learn the most about selling by reading this Selling community page. The Buying community page can also be helpful.
Not now. It's kind of discouraging.
It is sad you are so discourage but you might notice these are DISCUSSION threads. They have always been known as Discussion threads. They have never been known as Q&A threads. Certainly people can come her and ask questions. But they can also come to share ideas, discuss a change, vent about an issue, etc.
There are specific Q&A threads where you are welcome to come if you prefer.

Nor could the feedies beat a film photography forum that would regularly go to DEFCON 1 at the mere mention of anything digital. I had a lot of fun antagonizing that group, until the site owner decided that digital wasn't an instrument of the devil, and even changed the name of the site to make it more inviting to non-"filmies".
Fun times.
