I read over my first Wednesday Chat yesterday, and was unimpressed to say the least (although I’d say Tyler rose to the top).

Let’s send all the Sri Lankan sellers to the Wednesday Chat!

That way, the non-questions can get non-answered and we won’t be bothered anymore!!!

Now, where do I turn in my “Woke” and “Cheerleader” cards? I’ve clearly forfeited both.

Mam, I think you might have missed what they meant. They don’t want a question answer board.

I learned everything I know by reading the fascinating informative discussions on 3 boards, 2 of which are defunct now.

There are fewer wide ranging, informative discussions even here now.

That’s the best way to learn.

There are specific Q&A threads where you are welcome to come if you prefer.

Thanks for the link.  Sounds like a good place for those that "want to know how to be a  best seller".   I will add it to the one I use already to  provide assistance.

I understand there is a whole lot of fluff on the threads.  That is really clear, but we are all at fault for that.  Most likely encourage it with the Thumbs Up we give on a purely social posting, postings that do NOT add to the conversation at hand.  And since so many of us give those kudos for this behavior, some posters rise the the quantity of kudos they receive for NOT giving any value added information to any given thread.  Some posters like collecting kudos.

Kudos are called "Helpfuls".  If we all stuck to giving those thumbs up for information that we found helpful in one way or another, it is likely that a lot of the social postings [no actual info] would lessen.  They will never go away and I'm not sure we really want all of them to go away.  There is nothing wrong with wishing someone well or telling them you sincerely understand their frustration.  That is our humanity speaking and we don't ever want to lose that.  But we often give a Helpful to a posting that offers no added value to the conversation is all I'm saying while ignoring the posts that actually give information that may actually be helpful.

It is a very good place to go if you have a specific question about buying, selling, payments etc.  If you have a question on something regarding Ebay it can be a good resource for a member.

There is also the added insurance that you will be getting answered from seasoned Ebay sellers.  Only Mentors can respond on that board.
