I read over my first Wednesday Chat yesterday, and was unimpressed to say the least (although I’d say Tyler rose to the top).
Let’s send all the Sri Lankan sellers to the Wednesday Chat!
That way, the non-questions can get non-answered and we won’t be bothered anymore!!!
Now, where do I turn in my “Woke” and “Cheerleader” cards? I’ve clearly forfeited both.

Does anyone know how to actually contact this school? Is it a place or are they watching videos on YouTube?
Good grief, I hope they aren't PAYING for it!
Is there a way to notify them that there are more beginner-ish and international boards?
How do we contact a Blue and ask?
Everyone is welcome and yada yada yada, but the other day the WHOLE BOARD was empty questions, and it's often 1/4 to 1/2!
If the mods can move threads to other boards that they don't feel belong on this board, why can't they create something for these new people? More properly educational?

They had a board, e-Bay killed it off in the restructuring. So....they moved camp to here.
While it is a noble idea, this is not the only board that is currently frequented.
It is an equal-opportunity board plight at the moment.

Ah, yes, the New to Ebay board...Learned a ton there.
And then even more on the Vintage Clothing Board (also defunct - that one was like a college course in Fashion/decade ID and HISTORY and CONSTRUCTION clues).... they kind of did that one themselves... they all stomped off to some private site or other in a big kerfuffle over some new eBay policy (don't remember which one). I actually visited a few times, but in the end I was just so horrified by the willing loss of knowledge and help to a larger audience that I stopped. My own little protest.
Then I came here 🙂

@this*old*attic
They had one, New to eBay or some such. As stated upthread eBay got rid of it. It was likely filled with the nonsense posts we have here now. You must have missed the debacle when eBay decided Dr. Seuss was offensive and banned. Any and all redundant posts were dumped here regardless of where they were posted originally. One would think the ad nauseum posts about Payoneer would at least be moved to the Payments board, but nnnnooooooo.
It appears that posters from that country are unable to access Google or this page either which has a nifty SEARCH box as well:

They can all be redundant posts?
I mean I still see new post's about "why do I have to pay taxes on something I sold that I already paid taxes on"
People do not search to find answers most of the time, just want to be told the correct answer that they want to hear.

We are now getting the Sri Lanka/Payoneer threads on eBay Canada site

@coastaltechsolution
You have a good point. Questions here are asked over and over, but not to the extent that we are seeing now.
The "taxes" issue that you mention is NOT found in any eBay policy, but "how do I be a seller" most certainly is:
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling/start-selling-ebay?id=4081&st=3&pos=1&query=Start%20sellin...
and that link is what I use to respond.
It has only been within the last few months that the government of sri lanka has allowed its citizens to participate on online selling at all. I am sure everyone was excited and hyped, and did not realize they had no way to accept payment since PayPal for accepting money was forbidden.
As someone once suggested, tutorials/videos etc. must have told them to "engage the community" or some such. The result is they are so annoying, nobody is going to look at their listings nor even think about buying if they keep it up here. JMO

Do you remember the fun one about the Rupee? That had like 70 posts on it. Guess what I found at my Thrift today in a huge box of old stamps? A really old Rupee!!!

As I remembered the board was invaded by tr0lls. One came along and brought all of their friends. After a while one couldn't carry on a conversation without one of these tr0lls disrupting it - my and others' pleas to people to just ignore the tr0lls, don't feed them went mostly ignored - too many people just HAD to argue with them. Those of us who had other things to do finally just moved on - boards have a finite life, anyway. Then eBay put the final stake in its heart by getting rid of it and bundling it in with 'fashion'.

I know this is going to be news to a lot of members who post on this board, but, with very few exceptions, Khoros moderators do not move threads to different boards on their own. They don't spend their shift browsing through thread titles on all the boards and moving them around willy-nilly. Those threads have been reported by members. If you don't want to see a Payoneer thread on the Selling board (and I completely agree with that), all you have to do is click the little down arrow from the original post and select, "Report Inappropriate Content." Then just post something like, "Wrong board. Payoneer threads = Payments board."
So the Payoneer threads are easy to get moved, but that still doesn't solve the issue of the "seller school" questions or "can I sell without permission from eBay," or whatever else we've seen posted that might be considered "legitimate," for lack of a better word, topics for the Selling board.

Oh I'm sure most board posters are aware that other members turn them in (rat them out)

You answer one question, 3 more cut and paste that question and 6 new threads...
*How is Selling Now?
*Can I Sell Unbranded items and add my own Logo?
*Want to sell 75 coconut shells for .75 cents + $500 shipping, but not selling, Help!
*Cannot log into Seller School, Help!
*Want to Sell, Where to Start? Help!
And my personal fav
*My items not selling, Help!
(And there are no listings listed)
Anyway.....carry-on. There are 3 new threads just in the time it took to type this. 🙄
They are like Hydra.

I think these posts will stop increasing once we have the entire Sri Lankan population as registered members here.

I wasn't referring to anyone turning anyone in. My post is regarding moving threads only. Period. That has nothing to do with "ratting them out." Not sure how you arrived at that interpretation.
