I just ended international shipping on all my listings. 😞 It makes me sad, but I just don't want to have to deal with extended and screwy delivery times with the current Covid-19 situation.
Please tell me I did the right thing. It feels selfish, but I need to protect my account.

I am considering the same thing. I just made 2 international sales, and I am wondering if I just gave the 2 items away. Going to wait to see how these 2 sales go before I turn off the Global Shipping Program.

It is perfectly within your purview to make such business decisions, and as such, no need to feel guilty or selfish. It's business, not personal.

I Haven’t shipped Internationally in ages.

I agree with you and I did the same thing the other day. I don't ship that many international shipments anyway (and only through GSP) but I decided that I didn't want to have to deal with any problems that might come up as an offshoot of Covid-19.
I'm not sure why you would feel selfish, though. Right now we just have to decide what is best for us.

I'm thinking about ending all my listings period.
I've already refunded 4 buyers in the last month. They got their items weeks after I refunded them, or not at all. These are just basic, light padded envelopes I'm shipping? And I'm a small seller.

I just shipped something to the UK - I don't use the global shipping program, just ship cheap international small packet. I hope it gets there in some reasonable time! I have too many international sales to turn them off right now but I can completely understand someone's decision to do that.

I think you are right.........just too much uncertainty in the world today....save your nerves for when things settled back into normal.

I stopped selling overseas several years ago when there was a huge USPS rate hike, which is now the norm. I did the $5 DVD and CD thing when it was viable. But that price hike would have made it... a super spendy DVD! I didn't lose that many sales, and I never felt bad about it, cuz it's not a rare item. I suspect you could get used DVD's (and Starbucks) on the moon.
*edit* well, I guess that'd be Moonbucks then

I don't have very many international sales, and the ones I do have mainly go to Australia. It's not like I'm going to be out a ton of money, but it still makes me feel bad not to make my listings available.
::sigh:: I suppose this too shall pass eventually, at least I hope so. Between Covid-19 and now a tornado outbreak predicted on Sunday, I may just put my store on vacation. When your local meteorologist, who is correct probably 95% of the time, says the words "long track, ground ripping tornadoes" and you live in the heart of the target area...yeah, I seriously may hide my listings Sunday afternoon depending on what the weather looks like.
Man, this sucks. ☹️

Bless you for your honesty. It's OK to kill that feature. You feel better now right? That's all that matters. We all just want to stay alive. We all need to reach out to friend/family now. Keep in touch. Ebay really doesn't matter much right now. Sleep well with your decision. It was the right one.

I've only shipped internationally twice. Never looked back since.

I only ship via the post office for international. Can track most of them. True I haven't been listing or selling much, but if I do that is the only way I will ship international.
