No sales in 4 months. Lowering prices does nothing. Sending offers does nothing. No one responds or counters or even asks questions. I listed a $110 handbag new with tags for $19 and still no one will buy. Either my listings are invisible or there are simply no buyers anymore. I have decided to quit and throw everything in the trash. Anything that doesn't sell by the end of April is being thrown out. Good lucks guys.

Fur sells easily on ebay. Numerous Items I have watched have sold. Coats with moth holes, rips, stains ect. I don't get it. Why would someone pay $200 for some old decrepit coat with all sorts of damages but they won't take a stab at a $1,000 coat in mint condition???? It's totally bizarre.

Oh, I'm glad you came back!! Sometimes people don't. At any rate, I don't sell contemporary fur, but I carry vintage fur and have sold a fair amount of it. Still, I've asked myself that question over and over about almost everything here. Who knows - eBay is super saturated, and is about to get worse with this huge listing sale they're having, and again, there's nothing wrong with your items - it's just the wrong season. It will be the wrong season on Posh as well, but those are good items for the site, though be aware, it's a haggle-fest over there (I sell there also).

In my experience, prime season for pieces like that are early in the fall selling season. I start mine in early September and consider it too late to list heavy coats even by mid-November - those coats are primary investments and tend not to be impulse buys. One of my specialities is coats.

I had a designer jacket on ebay for a year I couldn't move at any price. I finally gave up and thought about donating it. Listed on another site. Sold in one week for $110. So if it's my stuff how do you explain that? The only things that seem to sell on ebay is oddities, collectibles and cans of overpriced Lysol.

Those Esprit boots are cool. My heels wearing days are behind me, though.

Maybe consider selling items people want and actually buy? I could be wrong...

Its why I sell on more than one site. I make my living doing this and HAVE to keep moving items along and am pretty ruthless about doing it. I'll have something sit on one site and zip sell right away on another.

SITE A: Doesn't sell at any price.
SITE B: Sells right away for a high price.
That's a tough one. Perhaps you should consult a business consultant for advice on which site to sell your clothing on.

Don't quit just adapt. I have a home in Idaho. We have absolutely no issues whatsoever with wearing dead animal clothing. What buyers in my area or any area for that matter will take issue with, is being taken for a ride.
You made a gross miscalculation when you setup your calculated shipping for this one particular listing "Full length silver fox fur alpaca coat"; because no one is going to pay you $61.50 to ship that coat. Fold that coat up nice and neatly and ship it in a USPS Priority Mail LARGE Flat Rate box and change that listing to a flat rate price and charge $24.30. Its small things like this that can make a seller look disingenuous and untrustworthy to buyers. But the good news is you can change it.

I wish ebay would just charge flat rate shipping like everyone else.
Ebay does not charge shipping rates. The seller does (or works them into the overall price) setting them according to the rates available from the various carriers they choose to utilize. This requires knowledge of shipping rates and methods and some time to research rates for each item. Ebay does not do this, the seller does. It's the seller's responsibility, it's their listing.

Shipping is calculate by ebay. The item cannot fit in a large flat rate box and due to this there is a dimensional shipping issue. Furthermore, the coat is over 5lbs so there is a surcharge for that too. I cannot control what the USPS charges for something to ship halfway across the country. If someone on the west coast buys it they get socked.
