Did you mean:

I had a thought....

Please don't criticize me if it's not a good one for some reason or if there's already something like it. But I was thinking about sellers pulling together and helping other sellers. Like maybe (ONLY IF THEY CHOOSE TO) send an item or items to an overseer ( I think like how the international shipping is or was handled by sending to Kentucky?) Hopefully you get the idea. Anyways, I think it's a good way of the Ebay community to help one another. Not limited to just any particular item but any item that another member may need? Rather it's food, household products, electronics or even parts for vehicles if one has that need?  Example; say a seller may had ran out of a product or may need something to fix an appliance that another seller may want to contribute to- it can even be done anonymously.  Keep in mind, this is just the surface of a brainstorm so please don't hit me with a bunch of sarcasm questions, lol. I just think it would be a neat way of us pulling together better and building an even stronger foundation and. I just thought about this when I received a heart wrenching message from a customer... I wanted to just hug. Like my customer that only has her bird,  some sellers may probably only have Ebay at this time. Sorry if this sounds far fetched but I think it's possible with more thought put into it.  Then again, maybe I need to stick to the decaf for now too, lol...

@griffithbarbara1

Didn't you post earlier about selling $50 cans of Lysol Spray or whatever?

Re: I had a thought....

I replied to someone (maybe you?) that acknowledged it, it was an auction. What does that have to do with sellers helping sellers?

Re: I had a thought....

The Canada Board got involved in doing that last October.

We get a single free domestic package shipment from Canada Post each year each Tuesday in October.

No limit on weight or price.

What we were doing was, from a list provided by one seller, we packed blankets, snowsuits, children's clothing and the like up and used the free shipping to ship to five or six Women's Shelters in Nunavut and NorthWest Territory.

Communities are small, homes are crowded, alcohol and drugs are a scourge, incomes are very low.

Support for women and  children fleeing domestic violence is difficult.

This coming October if Canada Post continues the promotion, we will be able to make four shipments each. To give you an idea of the cost of shipping to the Arctic, sending two wool blankets and a quilt would have been over $50 for shipping without the free promotion.

Re: I had a thought....

I understand what you are saying but it would not work. I can see eBay banning dozens of people because they cant collect final value fees or something stupid like that. You can give stuff away locally but I'd bet lots of those people are getting free stuff to flip on eBay too. 😂
