I just got this message from ebay:
Yet I had PRESALE in the title and the description, and it's due to ship in only 10 days. I had the exact date.
What can I do about this? There was no violation and it says to revise it to add presale and a date, when it already had presale and a date?
This makes no sense. I've reported presale items in the past that weren't due to ship for months and ebay sent an automated message saying there was no violation, yet I get a violation email when there actually wasn't one.

I just revised it to stress thoroughly that it's within the 40 day presale window and it still says it's a violation.

What is the exact message that eBay is giving you when they say it is a violation?

Hello *******,
Please understand that you are selling an item, which is not handy. Sellers are permitted to list items that they don't have at the time of listing (e.g. items that haven't yet been released to the public) so long as they meet the following terms:1. The seller must guarantee delivery of the item within 8 weeks of purchase in fixed price listing.2. Seller must clearly indicate in listing that the item is for pre-sale with a delivery date that indicates the item will be delivered within 8 weeks of purchase.
I had all that covered in the title and description. The email was obviously AI generated. Now I need to find out what to do to get this undone. I tried the chat option and it's just a bot and it gives me no appropriate options to talk to an actual person. The listing already sold to one buyer and had multiple watchers for the remainder left so now it looks sketchy when it wasn't.

Be very cautious, once you've receiving warnings like that, justified or not, your account is in danger.
In this case, you might have some success contacting eBay customer service. Here's my copypasta of the options:
You can click this link to chat with an agent, or request a callback if that's offered:
https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Or you can contact eBay customer service via Facebook, X, or Instagram by sending a private message (don't post publicly on these pages):

Thanks, I sent a message to call.
How do I be 'very cautious' when I didn't violate anything? I don't understand how to prevent this from happening again aside from never offering preorders which isn't against policy. I guess those are questions for customer service.

By being cautious I mean don't relist it unless you're absolutely certain the issue is resolved. Don't just keep relisting it in different ways and trying to figure out how to fix it yourself, which we've seen other sellers do, because that could result in harsher penalties on your account beyond just removing the listing.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why not just wait the ten days, get the item(s) and then list once you have in hand?
Also, your account was created in December and maybe that's why you can't list... I don't see anything listed or sold on this account

I don't know what the OP is trying to sell, but off the top of my head it could be because the seller thinks demand will drop or there'll be much more competition by the time the item gets released. Or if it's a time sensitive item like event tickets, listing it as early as possible gives more time for you to unload it (and deal with possible non paying bidders or returns) before the event date.
