I just sold an item and noticed that I put the wrong wight in shipping. It's 2 lbs instead of one lbs. (She paid $9.30 but the new weight is now $10.40) )As long as I pay for the two pounds am I in the clear? I haven't printed the label yet but I just don't want the buyer being charged more in shipping and me getting a neg. Thoughts?

You are fine, just be sure to print your label correctly with the correct information. That isn't a very expensive lesson to remind you to double check shipping info when you list. I've made a couple doozies myself.

Just correct the weight when you are purchasing the label. The buyer won't be charged or affected in any way.

OP said they hadn't purchased the label yet.
USPS has equipment at their sorting centers which will check the package weight and dimensions to determine whether postage has been overpaid or underpaid; if so, then the sender's account will be charged or credited accordingly.

@bamastyle The buyer has already paid, so there will be no affect on them.
You may want to check the postage on the package at www.pirateship.com and see if it qualifies for a lower cubic rate. At 2 lbs it's not likely that it will save you anything, but ALWAYS worth the check.
