I don't really care if sales are dead on ebay other platforms are going like hotcakes.

The past few years at q four ebay always seems to have issues but I don't care if things sell great if they don't great too other platforms are outstanding right now.

Ebay generates almost $200,000,000 in sales daily.

Well, you can see what I sell. I don't sell designer brand clothing - I actually don't know anything about it. I am pretty good at Japanese and German design, but don't always find it. My speciality used to be World clothing (Ethiopian cotton, Kashmiri embroidery, middle eastern robes, thobes, etc.) and goth/cyber, but I've gradually morphed depending on what I can find and what I can sell.

That makes sense-- you've got some fairly niche/specialty stuff, so I'm not surprised it does well. My friends were just trying to clean out their closets and rehome some gently-worn stuff (fairly average brands) and Posh definitely did not work well for them.

Posh is like eBay in that it's definitely filled with mainstream brands and I don't have a lot of luck with it, either. I've purchased some nice stuff there, though, too.

@ham*i*am46  My sales died, and it was more trouble than it was worth listing and monitoring it so I delisted everything for now. Over and above the idea of "buyers fees" being ridiculous in that context and giving buyers sticker shock, the rollout was botched with poor calculations returning confusing buyer fee amounts, which really put buyers off (further), and unclear explanations to sellers.

A few people have reported no change in sales, but I suspect that this may be product-dependent - they happen to have items that people want no matter what (that would not be me lol).

O that has already happened. EBay's GMV has been on the decline since the end of the pandemic

Ebay's loss in GMV has been associated primarily with Branded, New Product which is in production.

It is a terrible place to buy such products, either not new or priced higher than venues where the sellers are manufacturer authorized. And manufacturer warranties may or may not be in effect.

Most of those sales have gone to Amazon or Walmart.

Ebay has become the strongest and biggest site for many types of collectible, with other sites making them almost impossible to list, like Walmart and Amazon.

I am selling here because it is the best place to sell what I offer. I was here before, found greener pastures and was not too proud to come back.
