3 weeks ago i sold something and without realising for some reason it had the wrong paypal Email linked to it, my main paypal is noted and i have been using it to buy on paypal for the past 3 years, but it was apparently never fully linked, I did not know this as this is my first ever sale on eBay. Now the problem stands, the buyer apparently sent money to that closed/inactive paypal account which i have had no access to for an extremely long time and is lost. The reason why i didn't take any action is becuase i read online that for your first purchase ebay holds your money for 21 days, so i would get it by then. Only today i checked that the buyer has sent money to that paypal account. Is there any way to resolve this without issues it would be great help.
Thank you.

You need to go in and enter the correct email address on your PP account.

1) if that email address is connected to a paypal account, you will need to gain access to that paypal account to get at the money. The buyer cannot recall it if the payment was completed.
2) if that email address is not connected to a paypal account and you have access to that email address, you can add that email address to your current paypal account and the money will appear in your account.
3) if that email address is not connected to a paypal account and you do not have access to that email address, you will have to ask the buyer to cancel his payment (he can, because it is pending) and he will have to re-buy the item from a new listing you create with the correct paypal account.
4) If that email is connected to a PayPal account you no longer control, the payment was completed and neither you nor the buyer can access the money. In that case, you will probably be obligated to make good on it.
