How would you handle this blocked bidder situation?

I have an item for sale that a buyer was asking for a purchase price discount, a lower shipping charge AND also wanting me to dismantle the item before shipping. I could tell from the "tone" of their MANY messages that I was dealing with a problematic buyer. I took the easy route and blocked them so I didn't have to deal with it. Even after blocking the buyer still messaged me ordering me to unblock them. I ignored the messages.

About two weeks after all of this, the buyer opened another account (I am 100% positive it is the same buyer) and purchased the item. I do NOT want to go through with the sale. Any suggestions on how to cancel this sale without getting a defect?

Thanks!

nothing good about this.

block the "NEW" buyer and maybe remove the item from your listings for now and do some additional research before relisting.

Sellers are not required to "bend the knee" to potential buyers who demand additional services / requests and may be possible scammers.

I find it interesting when a buyer can create another account so fast. Do they not follow the same rules a seller has to follow? Address, phone, bank info., ss#?

Hello, call ebay, or email them if you dont have a phone number ( business support ) and explain them the situation. It happened to us before and we canceled and refund without an issue.

There is a risk-related department that can advise you but before you do anything its better to let them know. Better via phone

It's always better to block a buyer early......you can smell the bottom feeders from a mile away.

As far as the second account....call ebay and report it........if the originating IP address is the same on both accounts.....ebay will ban the buyer.
