How to turn off Chat with eBay.AI on App?

Is there any way to turn off the AI chat feature when shopping with the app? 

It appears after clicking on a listing, the AI button floats in a very inconvenient location when scrolling down the page, especially for right-handed thumbs.

I noticed that too- it completely and annoyingly in the way and as far as i have seen is like talking to a 3 year old as far as relevance and usefullness. only ebay would think it a good idea to put a big round circle overtop the listing information you are trying to read when making a purchase lol.  I would love to be able to get rid of it as well- anyone know of a way to switchit off?

You can turn it off on desktop web with the toggle in the lower left of the messaging page:

And on the app it should be under the gear in the upper right:

Slide the toggle to the left to turn it off.

@pls-consignments now that I re-read your OP, I realized I may have misunderstood. What I posted is for the new AI responses in messaging feature eBay is rolling out to sellers.

But it sounds like you may be talking about something else? Can you provide screenshots?

If so it's currently available to a small number of sellers and I've only seen the mock up video eBay provided.

If it looks at all like it does in the mock up, I would say maybe look for the tools icon or the three dots - those would seem to be the most logical places for something like settings where you could possibly turn it off.

My eBay app has the shopping cart where the settings gear is in the screenshot. How else can I access the messages settings? I’ve looked high and low. 😔

There has not been an acceptable answer to this question. It has NOTHING to do with the Messages.

How do we get rid of this wholly annoying and totally useless AI icon that obscures images and other functionality while using the mobile app.

I want to OPT out of any use of AI, but especially this obscuring floating icon that provides no value.

Seems like you didn’t get an answer. I turned it off but the icon is still present.
